The hostel is pretty on the outside, and very well located. Some of the staff was helpful, some werent. The headmaster of the staff was nice. Rooms are barely ok, and the bathroom quite disgusting at times. We had cold days, and sometimes had to wait 20 minutes for the water to begin to get warm. Not good since i...

The hostel is a couple of blocks away from the subway and about 20 blocks from the alto Palermo shopping mall (you can change USD there). It's near the parks too. Palermo is a great district and we're very glad we picked this one. The girls on reception are friendly, helping out with tours etc. Rooms were okay....showers to be...

First of all I'd like to point out that the staff is great. They went the extra mile and I'm very satisfied with their service. Then, the hostel wasn't so impressive. I stayed in a female dorm with 5 other girls. The room had NO outlets rather than the one in the bathroom so charging my phone or computer was...

I stayed there for a few nights when I was travelling in south America with a friend. Overall I enjoyed it. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm. The toiled was inside the room, and not very big. Located in Palermo neighborhood, which is quiet nice. Free wifi, but only near the recepcion. The breakfast was free, good and very...

We stayed here for 9 nights, and we loved it! The 4 bed female dorms were really nice, the beds were made every morning, and the bathrooms and bedrooms were cleaned every single day. All the staff is very friendly and they play good music for you in the lounge. The location is also nice - close to good night...

Possibly the worst nights sleep ever. We had a shared dorm opening directly on to the shared atrium and behind reception. No escape from the noise or the non paying residents in the beds. Tiny inefficient fan pushed the heat and smell around all night. Small ill equipped and tobacco smelling kitchen meant we didnt eat in. Swapped to a...

As we opened the door to our room, we froze as we observed 3+ cockroaches scurry about. We stayed in the room just long enough to use the facilities and check for whatever may be beneath the bed linens. While in the room, more or the same few pests visited again. We cancelled our second night and cannot recommend this...

I booked through hostelworld for 3 nights. Day 1 I arrived, and there was stuff on all the beds, so I informed both members of staff on duty. Both informed me the previous inhabitants had checked out that day, despite there being a lock on one drawer. I went off to sleep and was woken at 3am by 2 girls...

I soo love this hostel! Found it in the Lonely Planet and booked it, and very much enjoyed my stay here! I stayed here for two weeks and after that I came back (from my round trip) for another two nights. The rooms are clean and spacious (best pillows I had during my stay!), the staff is incredibly helpfull and...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
