Located in an old beautiful gigantic house in one of the coolest neighborhoods of BsAs, this hostel is your money's worth. Rooms are super clean and comfortable, staff is nice, specially the housekeeping crew, reception staff can be moody in the mornings, but the evening and night people are out of this world. The location is very convenient, and overall...

Some of the reception staff are lovely and helpful. Its a good location, but I think staying anywhere in Palermo would be good. Its kinda expensive for what it is. Kitchen is pretty small. There's a rooftop area that no one seems to use, which is lovely and quiet. Wifi is pretty good and its clean and tidy. I wouldn't...

Hi, Thanks a lot for your comment, it's very important for us. We appreciate your time on giving us some feedback and will certainly work hard to improve it, so the next you come to town you could have a better experience. We are more like the friendly-like-home hostel, we might not have that many amenities, but good location and...

We booked online using Hostelworld and were excited by the pictures of our twin bed private. We arrived very late at night and checked in to what we thought was our room. We were surprised to see bunk beds when we opened the door. We went back to the front desk and explained that we had reserved a private and...

Hi, Thanks a lot for your comment, I really appreciate your time on providing us some feedback. We are really sorry to know that you had issues regarding the room, that's an operational error that we need to recognize, typically that doesn't happen very often. Nonetheless, it's good to know that you had a good time on your hostel, despite...

We started our South America adventure in Buenos Aires and this was a good place to spend our first few nights. Friendly staff, good Palermo location and a nice little courtyard. Decent price too. If I had but one criticism... they'd run out of beer when we were there. Fortunately, you can buy wonderful bottles of Malbec (cheaply!) from a...

Booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 5 nights. Beautiful old character building decorated in a kind of retro-early century modern style, well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Great location to the centre of Palermo, loads of good cafes, restaurants, subte and buses. I was travelling alone, but the neighbourhood feels fairly safe, with lots of people...

We were visiting Buenos Aires for a 3-day conference. A friend of mine recommended that I should stay in Palermo, as it is a very nice neighbourhood. Indeed, Palermo is very nice, cozy and vivid. However, the conference was taking place in the area of Obelisco, which means that I had to spend every morning almost 40 minutes in the...

I stayed at the Hostel Suites Palermo in Buenos Aires just last week and while I had a nice experience, the hostel wasn't as social as I had hoped (especially for being a first time solo traveler, I was banking on a good common area to meet other people). While I did meet some amazing people during my stay, the...

My stay was average. This was my second stay at HI Palermo because it happens to be near the US embassy and I had a two-day interview there. Always try to walk on Santamaria de Oro and not Godoy Cruz. The latter feels SO scketchy! Oh, if you ride the subway, getting off at Plaza Italia feels so much safer...

I stayed in the Hostel Suites Palermo in 2009. The staff were young, friendly and just everything you would like them to be. More than helpful and going out of their way many times to make things comfortable. Our room was average (but from others in our group staying in other nearby places, we seemed to have the best deal)....

Decent location only 5 mins walk from main street in Palermo. Most of the staff were friendly, one helped book onward bus journey. Bathroom dirty, bathroom door didn't lock properly, shower terrible/lukewarm, noisy dripping tap, no hand soap in bathroom. Breakfast average to poor (one morning no plates so had to use bowls for toast!), just toast/cereal the usual stuff,...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
