Very convenient location! We stayed at the top most room (I forgot the name). The room and comfort room were somewhat clean. The blankets were dusty. The staff were rude and inattentive. Also, wifi signal didn't reach our room.

Thank you Pola for taking the time to write this review and I've already taken note of your report about our staff who may be sent on "vacation" due to their laziness and poor attitude; most of our 29 private rooms in our main building now have wi-fi inside the rooms as does our 4th floor roof garden overlooking Manila...

Very rude, unwelcoming, and inattentive staff. Rooms are real dirty and they stink. Bathrooms/Toilets are even worse! Used-toiletries were scattered. Cockroaches everywhere (dead & alive). Beware: They might say that your online booking (say you get the cheapest room) is not available when you check-in, so, you (tired and weary) are left with no choice but to get the expensive...

Thank you venger895 for your review but I have to wonder if you actually stayed here as it seems that the manipulation of reviews is rampant in recent years. Wanderers who advertises cheapest hostel in Manila offers From P350/ bedspace compared to our P200/ bed and rooms from P700/ person up where as ours is P200 to P500/ person for...

Before arriving at the hostel we sent an email to the owners just with some simple questions. It had been a while since we booked and we were worried about finding it. The owner emailed us back an extremely rude response about not reading their email carefully. I understand that it can be frustrating to answer customers questions if you...

We stayed here for 1 night and I had no wifi to read the review first. What a disguisting hostel! After travelling for a month in the Philippines, this was by far the worst. The rooms were dirty, the shower still dont work! We had no water toe brush our teeth or even for the toilet. When we asked about...

We had paid for a private room with ensuite, but the shower didn't work and the toilet only just flushed. After they tried to move us to another room they realised that non of the ensuite showers worked and we were told to use the shared bathrooms. We were told we would get the difference between and ensuite and shared...

I was sexually assulted by a member of the staff there and when I wrote the manager an email she never even answered me back and they still insisted on charging me for that night even though I had to leave because I was so scared. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

It was our last minute call since someone else turned us down after 24 hr journey. We decided to stay, needed to put our heads down asap...Place was very dodgy, full of bedbugs and mouldy smell, but staff was super friendly and would do anything to help you out, e.g. with a taxi etc. Food was delicious and cheap, so...

Thank you 251larsn for taking time to write this review, We have already attacked this problem in our 6 bed unisex dorm at P200 / U$4+ / bed / night by tearing out all the wooden bunkbeds replacing them with metal framed bunkbeds and had leatherette mattress and pillow covers to make cleanliness a priority and explored the whole issue...

The staff is trying to explain on tripadvisor and hostelworld that they got bad reviews before but now they renovated the place and all is fine - ITS NOT! We booked a 500PHP room, fan with shared bathroom. The room was big but simple with plenty of furniture: a table, 2 chairs, a sofa, ... Nothing to complain about here...

Thank you "2travelworlds" for taking the time to write a review; within a few weeks will will no longer have our contruction crew living inside unit 32 of our main building with 4 attached townhouse units where you most likely stayed in one of our large P500 fan cooled share bath room. Thanks to the directions given by Bill and Lorna, we confidentiality navigated the short cab ride from the airport. Staff was polite and helpful. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our Townhouse was opened as a hobby, after we'd traveled, worked and were lucky with business in Asia, Europe, and the U.S.A. for almost ten years. We'd stayed in bamboo, beach huts, Asian guesthouses, Spanish pensionnes, American and European campgrounds, hostels, Korean yeogwans and Japanese ryokans on shoestring budgets. We hooked up 'on the road' while traveling in Hong Kong, Korea and Japan in Dec 83, got married 2 years later in 85, decided to have a baby and knowing we'd miss the energy, excitement and adventure of world travel opened the door of our 3 bedroom 2 bath townhouse for travelers as a hobby in 86 which has grown and evolved to the present 35 private rooms with 8 rates from P300 to P950 and 4 bed dormitory. ... more   less
