We stayed for two nights at the end of February. We had been told in advance that there were some building works going on nearby but thankfully they weren't too disruptive. The hotel is old and traditional but the rooms are fantastically modern. We were lucky and got a free upgrade to a luxury room which was great. A fabulous...

Disappointed with this hotel having seen the reviews. The location is great and very central so you can get around easily on foot. Room and rest of hotel looked as per the website. Service was where it was let down. Breakfast was average and had to ask 3 times for coffee, my husbands tea didn't arrive until we asked for...

Staff were good. Great location. We were in a very old room at the front of the hotel it was in need of a good deep clean. The rooms around a very small pool looked more modern and clean. The maid knock on our room at 8.30 on departure day when we were still in bed to clean the room...

My wife and I had an hour to 'kill' in Stellenbosch while waiting for our return shuttle to out of town hotel so we entered hotel foyer to request a coffee. We were greeted by pleasant and helpful concierge who escorted us to lounge and arranged our refreshment. On explaining that we were returning to U.K. the following day, he...

Part of my walking tour of Stellenbosch included a group lunch at this hotel. The items served were the same for all of us and were very fresh. I would loved to have seen the rooms here, hopefully they were as nice as the restaurant and lobby area.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour and found it excellent. The decor was most unusual and attractive and my room comfortable. I found the staff pleasing and welcoming. Somebody even came in to turn down my bed. There was plenty to choose from for breakfast, and the dinners were good. Thank you for a memorable stay

Firstly , the hotel is ideally positioned on one of the busiest tourist streets in Stellenbosch but that in no way detracts from our stay. It is a very old hotel with new buildings added and despite the contrast in decor between the very old fashioned traditional decor in the bar and reception which is beautiful , and the very...

Staff were excellent. Good central location. Room was good and spacious. Breakfast was self serve and hot dishes could have been hotter, but the choice was vast in range. We had dinner and it was fine, but dining room lacks ambience, table clothes and subdued lighting, just the little things that make a difference.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Oude Werf Hotel in Stellenbosch. We arrived by car, and when I stepped into the hotel the security guard was quick to help show my husband where to park (which was actually blocking the entrance to the attached parking garage so a valet could move it to the other parking garage). The man...
