We had a great stay, and the best nights rest I have ever had in a Backpackers. They are situated in a quiet street and nothing disturbs your peace and quiet. Lourens was very friendly and accomodating to all our requests. The only thing lacking is a bit of a vibe, but I understand from Lourens that they are working...

We were staying at other accomodation who advised we use them for our shuttles and taxis. Booked a taxi that never arrived, phoned them back and they were very flippant. Said they misunderstood our location adn we should walk to them. Not the end of the world but staff gave the impression they were way too busy to deal with...

Dear Sir This was not the case at all! This was purely a communication error and we apologise for our share in that but sir you were staying with Absolute Bosch in Die Boord Stellenbosch who just happen to have two units in a block of flats located right next door to us also called Absolute Bosch which is located...

Checked in and found the room to be dirty, along with the shower facilities. Went to dinner and couldn't get back into the Guesthouse because the staff were asleep. I was ringing the doorbell and calling for 30mins. I was so annoyed I checked back out and went elsewhere. This place is cheap but is actually not even worth the...

Dear Solo Traveller. You will be pleased to know that we have a new general manager who now lives on premises. We have 24 hour entry as we have day and night staff for everyone's convenience. We apologise for the bathroom not being up to your standard of cleanliness. Unfortunately it is sometimes a challenge as the bathrooms are communal....

Maybe it was becaused we arrived in the dark (around 7pm), but it was kind of a creepy and smelly house at our arrival. We couldn't park our car inside the gates, simply because they didn't make room for that, so we left it out on the street.. The guy who introduced the house to us was kind of a...

I am so sorry you felt this way. Parking is limited so we have parking for 9 cars inside. If you had arranged for inside parking upfront then we would have kept a parking for you. If there was no more parking then the rooms upstairs in the passage way that you are mentioning as unoccupied must have had guests...

We stayed two nights at this hostel because we couldn't get a room anywhere else, due to some festival or something going on in Stellenbosch. It's no wonder the Traveller's lodge had available rooms - the place looks like a prison on the outside, and the inside is dark, old, dirty and depressing. There are no decorations or anything in...

We left here with a very bad taste in our mouth. A number of items were stolen from our room, from the fridge and cars were broken into outside the hostel. We stayed a in a private room and the owner/manager claimed ours was the only key. I doubt that. Anyway, turns out things had been stolen from other guests...

This was the worst place that we stayed on our trip around South Africa. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt as though we were on a building site! The following are some of the things that we noted: Car park was unavailable for use as there was scaffolding blocking the entrance. The scaffolding also...

Friendly owners, but thats not enough.....the sheets, blankets and mattress are old and musty smelling. The room isn't cozy. The kitchen is a mess and not clean. There are much better options with vallue for money in the villages.
