This is one of the loveliest places I've had the privilege of staying in. Our amazing room called Copper Trumpet was beautiful, very large and had a great view across the valley. The hotel grounds are stunning with a lovely pool area, outdoor seating both under cover and in the sun. The communal areas inside are beautiful with an honesty... More

I stayed 3 nights at this well maintained place. Very friendly and helpful staff, directing me to the right places in town and some good wineries and cafes. Breakfast is sumptuous and the B+B in a small Villa is in a secure Environment, ideal to visit wine Country and town. I'll sure be back on my next visit. Renat N,... More

Lovely hotel and great location close to Stellenbosch and alll the wineries, in the middle of one of the most beautiful areas in South Africa, but also close enough to Capetown for visits and to the airport for a non rushed exit. Great breakfast .... but must find Dinner/Lunch elsewhere ..... but that's easy in this area.

Gorgeous house with a charming garden and pool. The mushroom theme is omnipresent and must tell how helpful and great Marc (the hotel's manager) is! We booked a room upstairs with a view of the pool, breakfast was just perfect and we were lucky cause the weather was beautiful so was a great stay all in all. I would go... More

I stayed here with two other couples to enjoy South African wine country. Marc and his staff were wonderful and quite helpful. My husband and I stayed in the Russula room (all are named for mushrooms). Even though the room was right off the main lounge/breakfast area, it was very quiet. The hotel is a short drive from downtown Stellenbosch.... More

A wonderful B&B in Stellenbosch! We stopped here for a day of wine tasting on our drive along the southern coast. Upon arrival, we learned the touring company misplaced our wine tour reservation. Mark at the Wild Mushroom quickly provided a fabulous alternative, and our day was saved! Can't recommend the place highly enough!

My wife and I stayed at The Wild Mushroom on a golfing trip along the Garden Route. Very welcoming with lovely staff and the rooms are quirky but well appointed. The views of the surrounding mountains are stunning, particularly at sunset. Stellenbosch within easy reach (10 minutes) and plenty of restaurants for all pockets. If there was a downside it... Wonderful house in quiet and safe property not far from town. Very big room and bathroom, beautiful garden with view to the mountains. Delicious breakfast. The manager was very helpful and a perfect host. He took us to a nice restaurant in the evening and picked us up again. We liked everything very much.

The country house at Digteby is beautifully decorated and the accommodations are first-rate: large room, luxurious bath, very comfortable king bed. We had a nice patio off our room where we could enjoy some wine while taking in the views of the mountains and nearby wineries. Marc and the staff were delightful hosts and the breakfast each morning was plentiful... More
