We visited Knorhoek estate today and we were pleasantly surprised. The wine was really good and we treated ourselves on the cheese platter, which is a MUST when you visit Knorhoek. What we really enjoyed most was that it is a relatively small estate without the mass tourists. This allowed us to enjoy in peace!

Dear Visitor We are pleased you enjoyed your wine tasting at Knorhoek. My son is the wine maker and he will wallow in the compliments. What we offer is good quality, reasonably priced wines, an excellent cheese platter and of course, the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. Thank you for putting this in your review - much appreciated. Sincerely Carol

We spent a wonderful two nights on this relaxed wine farm in the honeymoon suit. The room and bathroom were really comfortable and spacious and we had a great view out over the farmland with a lovely balcony to sit and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. The breakfast was really tasty and filling and...

Dear Cath It is such a compliment that you felt your stay was much too short. What you mentioned, is what we want our guests to enjoy: sitting on a stoep or balcony, sipping a glass of wine, retiring to a tasteful, comfortable room and waking up to a beautiful view and a wholesome breakfast. I shall convey your comment...

We stayed one night and had a attic room. The room was very large, decorated in old style. Antique closets, an authentic badtub. Winetasting could be done one building further. The place is nice and quiet. Dinner at the restaurant was unfortunately not possible, We had to drive to Stellenbosch for this. While the staff were friendly, we had the...

We did a lovely wine tasting at Knorhoek. It is worth every penny! It is a very small tasting room, but if the weather is good, sit outside en enjoy. The cheese platter is excellent and so the wines. There is also a lovely venue close-by, Towerbosch, a country restaurant and it looks like a fairy tale. Every time we...

Lovely classic, comfortable rooms, ours had a gorgeous bathroom with freestanding bath tub, and a little outside balcony table. Great views and friendly staff. Really nice home cooked breakfast too. The honesty bar is a nice touch and allows you to try the estate's wines. It's in a nice setting amid gardens, mountains and vines, lovely and peaceful, and well...

This is an estate worth visiting. The accommodation is superb with lovely views.....its incredibly restful. Book early for a Sunday lunch at their restaurant, Towerbosch (awarded the Eat Out - Best Country - Style Restaurant in South Africa for 2013 Award) , otherwise the weekday lunches are also superb (but not open on a Monday and Tuesday) The wine, food,...

Knorhoek is a nice place, in beautiful surrounds and nice facilities but the service can be improved; the lady at reception was curtly and not very client friendly. Decor looks in the pictures look better than the real thing. Nice little swimming pool.

I had a nightmare experience at the knorhoek unfortunately. Firstly the lady at reception was brash and not very client friendly and seemed impatient with us really. Good morning JS On Saturday night, when I asked your wife that I meet with you in the cottage lounge and not the bedroom, I hope this professional and respectful request was not interpreted as being poor service.
