We stayed at Karro Retreat this passed weekend as our daughter was playing in a hockey tournament. The location is perfect close to all the local schools and sports fields, shops and restaurants. But far enough from town central for it to be quiet and peaceful. We loved the decor and the quality of bedding was perfect, nice and warm for the chilly weather....

We stayed with family, so it was three separate couples in three separate units. The rooms were really pleasant and well-equipped. Ours had its own mini kitchen unit, with an interconnecting door into a communal kitchen which you can choose to leave open or lock for more privacy. The pool was lovely and the rooms have small patio areas that...

Although it looked a bit shabby from the outside, our spacious farmhouse style accommodation was well equipped and Ina ( who was very helpful) welcomed any suggestions for anything else that the kitchen might need. She organised some much needed laundry services. The house was clean and the neighbourhood was quiet. Ina organised a shuttle for us to take us...

We booked this accommodation through Airbnb and we surprised at how well kept the place was and the friendliness of the staff (Ina) who helped us check in. The room was beautifully made and we didn't hesitate to relax at the swimming pool when we arrived. Ina was more then happy to assist us with restaurant and Ostrich farm outings....

This modern farmhouse was the highlight of our stay. This house would be perfect for a group of 8 people to populate the house. The kitchen is excellently equipped with a large table around which to eat and talk. The karoo retreat is in the major street full of other guesthouses as well as very close to the Arbeidsgenot, CJ...

Comfortable, quiet and clean...what more do you need. The only complaint I have is the cold. The cottages are geared for very high summer temperatures, but not enough effort is made for the freezing winter cold. The lady that met us on arrival seemed a bit frazzled and confused. Not a great first impression. The cottages are very spacious and...

Our friends found this apartment for our visit - just for one night, (not a hotel). The apartment was spotless - a cottage style décor - and a very fresh look. There was one double room and another room with twin beds. Also a small but adequate dining/sitting area. From the back door we just had to walk past a...

Extravagantly furnished this self catering accomodation created the right ambiance to deem it retreat. We stayed for only one night to further explore the area, but our stay was warmly welcomed by a most friendly patron who immediately made us feel at home. Shoes kicked aside we strolled around to the braai area and also relaxed in the swimming pool....

“Probably room nr 4 is the best, what privacy and view is concerned. It's private terrace is nearest to the pool and offers a bit of a view at the gardens behind the accomodation. Rooms nr. 2 and 3 share a terrace. They may be slightly smaller than rooms 1 and 4.”
