We stayed one night at De Zeekoe so that we could do the early morning Meerkat Tour (which was great, see separate review!) One of the reasons for booking the hotel was because we thought the meerkat tour started from there so would be less hassle early morning, but we still had to navigate a 10 minute drive to a...

We loved our cabin overlooking the lake and all the birds - such a pretty peaceful spot and the cabins were delightful.Would like to come back in winter and get the fire going. Enjoyed dinner at the lodge. Staff all very attentive.

We had 3 fabulous days at the farm, lovely rooms with great relaxing area over day time. The concept of staff from the area that is doing a training to learn hospitality service is well thought through and works perfectly fine. We liked the staff, the food and surrounding. Max & Chrissi

My wife and I wanted to experience the meerkat presentation and, as an early morning start was necessary, we chose this guest house as a good place to overnight. We were warmly welcomed and shown around by Thomas who was excellent. We were given a lovely room and later had a great dinner. The breakfast in the mornng was also...

We stayed for 2 nights in the honeymoon suite. It was huge, with a very comfortable bed, and mosquito nets - which we were grateful for. The views from our balcony were fabulous and it was extremely quiet and peaceful. We had wonderful evenings stargazing! The food was good - not fine dining, but well presented. It was incredibly competitively...

The positives - out of town, so very peaceful with awesome views. The rooms were very well kitted out with lots of little extras and extremely spacious and comfortable. Very relaxing atmosphere and ideally situated for those wishing to visit ostrich farms etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast provided, with a good variety, except coffee was cold!...

Beautiful, spacious cabin with a stoep overlooking the dam. Well furnished with all you need in the kitchen. Mosquitoes was plentiful but thankfully the cabin had insecticide and mosquito nets around the beds. Well priced. The buffet breakfast had a great selection; just a pity the hot cross buns weren't fresh and the food was not particularly tasty. The service...

I enjoyed our stay with good food, sweet mercats and nice sunsets. The rooms have an outdoor shower and a nice view over the plains to the misty mountains. The staff is friendly. I could recommend the sunset mercat tourvand visiting an ostrich farm around the corner.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Dee Zeekoe at one of the cabins overlooking the lake. The cabins (and cottages) are a couples of minutes drive from the main building/reception/dining room etc. along a slightly bumpy unmade road. The cabins are very authentic, well furnished and have a large balcony where my Husband enjoyed watching the birdlife and...
