Very beautiful location. Large and well equipped room in own building. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Great restaurant!! We had an excellent dinner only for two! The pool is a must see! Perfect for relaxing and enjoying even for only one night. Well working WiFi.

We used the hotel as a break driving from kynsna to Cape Town . The scenery was spectacular on the Karoo and easy driving . The hotel although remote was really comfortable having stayed in Emily's the detached cottage really spacious . We had dinner in the hotel which due to its location was the sensible option and was delicious...

Excellent Service Room was very nice. Very clean and lovely bathroom. Amenities nice. Food was delicious. Service could not be faulted Only disappointment is that we did not see Ostriches and had to pay extra to have a tour of the ostriches at another venue.

Nice place with a pool with gorgeous view on the landscape; dinner was very good; turtles in the garden, but also unbehaved dogs, who pee on your backpack; ostrich tour was too expensive for being a guest (250 Rand per person), only two ostriches left on the farm; a bit unfriendly and stressed hosts without warm welcome

The view from the pool is possibly something I will never forget, but the standard of the rooms and the overall ambience of the farm was great. My wife and I felt we could have definitely stayed more than the 1 night we did for some decent R&R. The farm is isolated being pretty much halfway between Calitzdorp but we...

Our stay at the Rietfontein Ostrich Palace was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip to South Africa. The setting of the accommodation is truly stunning, with mountains as a backdrop for the day and bright stars at night. The history and architecture of the property through 6 generations of a family, with the hospitality and care shown...

We stayed here over New Years with our 1 year old son. We enjoyed a delicious 5 course meal on the farmhouse stoep, complete with local wine. Our highlight was taking a dip in the rim-flow pool (converted reservoir) with a spectacular view of the mountains in the distance. The owners went out of their way to make us feel...

We stopped over here en route to see the Kango Caves. Elmarie's hospitality and attention to detail is faultless. Nothing is too much. The room was excellent and much bigger than expected. Amazing pool with 360 degrees views. Supper was a real highlight. 4 course meal culminating is the most amazing ostrich steak. Would highly recommend and will definitely be...
