You feel like you are somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Just the sound of Hadidas and cows and now and then a vehicle that passes in a dust cloud. Beautifully restored farm cottages with each cottage’s history in detail. We enjoyed the indoor braai and fire place. Wood is available on the farm for a few rand. Petro and...

We selected this accommodation due to it's convenient location between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp for a weekend of port and wine tasting. We ended up mostly focussing on Caltizdorp as there are plenty of cellars to try. We loved our little cottage for the weekend. Facilities over deliver and definitely leaves you pleasantly surprised and happy. We opted for the "braai...

Thank you for the compliment on the 'braai pack" and the cottage. We always try to use fresh products as far as possible and try to avoid using frozen foods.

We recently spent the long weekend at Red Stone Hills. It was our third visit and we enjoy it more every time we go. The cottages are clean and well appointed in magnificent surroundings. Petro is always friendly and so welcoming. We highly recommend it, especially if you have kids, and we will most certainly be back !

Amazing how many people return to Red Stone Hills! We do not want to be commercialized and therefore decided on a maximum of 8 cottages. Can offer guests more individual attention. I love my job!

We stayed at Red Stone Hills in May. Petro was warm and welcoming from the start. She prepared for us a delicious dinner of marinated ostrich and lamb along with sides and salad that we grilled on the barbecue ourselves. The cottage was spacious, clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The location was just incredible. The cottages are all separate so...

We had the pleasure of staying in the Bushman’s hut for two days during May 2016. What a pleasant surprise to find this cottage so well equipped with exquisite furniture, there was no need to bring extra self-catering equipment along. The sunrise and sunset on the red stone hills was beautiful and we took a lot of photographs. The hikers...

We have been at Red Stone Hills twice now. The place is an absolute gem. Service is tops. Each unit enjoys privacy and the well designed layout of the units are ideal for a break away. We'll be there soon.......again, can't wait!

Three of us stayed in Red Rock Cottage for 2 nights. It was spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and cozy on a chilly, rainy night. The cottage is set back from the road and has a wonderful view of the stunning red cliffs from the stoep. We ordered a braai pack from Petro and after a day out we returned to find...

This cottage nestles in the red hills and is private. Ideal for watching raptors in the cliffs! Wonderful to know that you enjoyed the meal delivered to your cottage.

The area and Red Stone Hills are one of those wow memories in life. Not being happy there, finding something to do or to relax is entirely your fault. We stayed in Bird's Nest with it's rich history, overlooking the valley while having morning coffee and rusks. The whole experience was seamless from booking, dealing with Petro and her genuine...
