I have been meaning to write this review since almost 6 months now!.. We were in Outdshoorn for a night -- Feb 14th! this year. Huw and Zoe were fantastic hosts, even before we actually visited the place we had a couple of mail exchanges where they asked us to consider moving to an a/c room since the temperature was...

Such a welcoming place! I stayed here for 2 nights and was greeted by Huw who was so helpful! Even though we arrived quite late, he took the time to talk us through where we could visit during our stay, as well as recommend various restaurants (with menus provided as well - the Guesthouse is really well located with many...

Located on the main street of the city, close to restaurants, the B&B is quiet and without noise from the street. The room was nice. The owners are very kind and full of useful information and suggestion about what to do and to see. The breakfast is excellent, with a wide choice of food. Strongly recommended.

Stayed here just one night and so wish we could stay longer. Zoe and Hugh welcome you into their home and not their hotel. They treat you like their own. Thank you so much. We were a big group of 9 people and both took care of us so well. Always mindful of our requests. Still amazed at Hugh who...

We stayed 1 night on our travel between Kynsna and the Winelands. From our own research and a recommendation from fellow guests at Kynsna, we were not dissapointed as our hosts Huw and Zoe did everything to make our stay very welcoming. Huw ( who hails from North Wales ) booked a very nice restaurant next door to the guest...

The other reviews say it all. We stayed for two nights as part of an organised tour and are so thankful that we did. Zoe and Huw really are the most perfect hosts and this is the perfect place to stay. It;s worth adding Oudtshoorn to your itinerary just to stay here!

Great location, free wifi, yummy breakfast. We stopped here for one night, wished it was more. Great owners who we shared lunch with at the winery and made our trip to oudtshoorn super easy. This is a great value stop where you will not be disappointed.

My father and I stayed 3 days in this B&B. Zoe and Hugh were indeed a perfect host, good sense of humour and always cheerfull. Both of them have put their heart into this B&B and succeed to make this the perfect place to stay, really going the extra mile to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Zoe has...

Zoe and Huw were superb hosts and took care of all our needs. Provided great advice on where to eat and where to go (despite the rainy weather). Rooms were large and clean and comfy and the place was easy enough to find. Great value for money as well!

Oudsthoorn is a town that is a bit off the beaten track, but worth a couple of days to see it all, and 88 Baron Van Reede Guesthouse is a good spot to call home when you do so. The guesthouse is located in the town, and next door to an excellent restaurant. The rooms at the guesthouse were exactly...
