It was my first time visit to Thesen Islands and the Turbine Hotel & Spa. My visit was only for the weekend but it felt like a long summer vacation! The unique interior of the hotel and all the friendly staff made my stay so much more relax... and the spa treatment and wonderful food was the BEST!

We once stayed in a hotel in Lura , New South Wales which was a converted dairy where materials had been recycled in creative ways. The Turbine hotel has taken this to a new level. The old turbine building, which once supplied all of the electricity to the industrial complex on Thersen Island, has been converted to a very nice...

Breakfast staff stood around talking to each other instead...

The conversion of an old turbine power station into a modern hotel has been very cleverly done. The way the rooms & public spaces fit around the restored & polished old machinery & fittings is both fascinating, interesting & unique - loved the dials & gauges over the bar beer pulls! Our room was spotless & well designed, modern &...

Dear CathyWinchesterUK Thank you for your valued feedback. The owners and team are always appreciative and grateful when this visual masterpiece is appreciated by guests. The development you are referring to has been around for 15 years and is called Thesen Islands and fully developed on the residential side. We are very disappointed to learn that your Island Cafe experience...
