We had a one night stay and found the Whale Coast Lodge to be the ideal place for a stay over in Hermanus. The room and bathroom was very neat, clean and modern, it had all we needed. Best of all was the vicinity to the town centre with all the restaurants and activities. We will most certainly stay at...

My wife, two daughters and I stayed at this lodge. We chose the "two bedroom" cottage. It is indeed a lodge and not a hotel. The 2nd "bedroom" is not your normal bedroom fitted with a door, but was quite suitable to for our needs. Fitted with curtains it might be a slight inconvenience to two adults... or maybe not....

Stayed here for 2 nights with my family. Apartment was well equipped and clean. Situated close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Only bit confusing was where to park. You have to go through the barriers as if you're going to the shopping centre (hotel is attached to the shopping centre) then once checked in they give you a key...

What a beautiful setting this cottage is in under the shady trees.Very close to the town and therefore the restaurants.Very quiet and nobody disturbed .The person who serviced the cottage was unobtrusive and the two ladies in the reception office were always helpful.

The place is perfectly located just around the corner of the town centre as well as waterfront. Nicely separated of the road by the houses you have a perfect garden for a tasty BBQ! The rooms are spacious and comfy, the cottages are really lovely! Fine experience, thanks!

After much confusion about whether our online payment had even been received or not, we arrived to find our reservation for a "two bedroomed / pet friendly cottage" was (a) one double bedroom and a small alcove off the living room with twin beds (partly hidden by gauze curtains - no privacy), and our dog was not welcome. They blamed...

It was our Anniversary and my Hubby decided to treat me to a night away in Hermanus. When we got there we stood in front of the gate ringing the bell as the sign instructed us to do. After about 10 minutes we were still standing in front of the gate. My Hubby decided to check the gate, it was...

We booked this place last minute after a most unpleasant experience in a guest house in Somerset West which we left early. Loved the main house, not so much the 'cottages'. I imagine it would be a great party house. Never saw so many drinking glasses and there is a bar and a pool table! We aren't party people.....3 grandparents,...

In serious need of maintenance. Specific attention to bathrooms. No air conditioner or fans. Front doors to cottages remain locked allowing for a serious fire hazard. Bedding of better quality. Cleaning done daily and done well.
