This place has the perfect view (if you ask for a room with seaview that is). The room is nice and clean and you can walk to the beach and have a drink at Dutchies. Nice owner Natu can help you with questions about restaurants or hikes (Fernkloof -see picture- is nice). And the breakfast (muesli, toast and eggs) is...

the locks of the doors are very low. No problem but it is a strange view and feels strange. I enjoyed staying here. Nice people and helpful so I can recommend this accommodation. The room was very clean. I had planned to come with 2 persons but because of circumstances I was alone. The owner counted now another price. Thanks...

Nice hotel with a typical and artistic decoration. The rooms are very confortable, the breakfast is good. we appreciate the game's room with a billard and table tennis. The location near the sea in a calm place is very appreciable.

We stayed for three days in a room with a terrace where we had unlimited view of the sea and the bay nearby. The hotel is spacious and has fantastic style. The necessary comforts were all there (good bed, very good sanitary arrangements). The spot is rustic and quiet, while Hermanus is easily accessible.

This hotel is excellent value for money. Lovely rooms with a beautiful view, in a great location. The owner was friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend to other travellers. A short walk from Grotto Beach and a short drive or walk to local restaurant Dutchies.

We found Baleens hotels to be a bit strange. It was not a place where we felt at ease.it was pretty run down but on the plus side Some renovation works had been carried out and our bedroom was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was woeful and in fact on our second morning I had prepurchased some prepared fresh fruit...

I am sorry that you found the hotel strange, we have had many compliments for the decor and the artwork displayed, so I am unsure why you felt uneasy? We are still in the process of renovations, however all the sea facing rooms are complete and all have brand new king size beds and new linen, curtains and furnishing. I...

Nice and clean room' with a beautiful view of the sea. Very friendly staff. Had a terrace to relax. The hotel is in a very quiet area. Not too far from Hermanus by car. A decent breakfast is served in the morning and has good wifi.

We found the accommodation to be very basic. The bedlinen is old and ill-fitting, with very thin duvet and lumpy pillows. The furniture is mis-matched and random, it feels a bit like they have picked up pieces from house clearances. Our room didn't feel very clean, toilet used and inflated etc. The breakfast is okay, as you would get in...
