The lodge is very charming and people working there very nice and willing to help. The rooms are clean, African charm and the beds were nice. Also the rain shower was perfect! Pool was a bit cold for my liking, but that is a minor detail! Same goes for finding the place via navigation, but I found that more hotels/restaurants... More

Great hospitality, good service and a fantastic location close to the famous Constantia wine farms. Highly recommandable for those who want to get a bit a away the big city Cape Town and closer to nature and beauty of the Constantia area.

We were upgraded to the Nguni Room by the fantastic hostess. The room was beautiful - with a four poster bed and the slipper bath adding to the romance of the suite. The balcony is fantastic for relaxing, overlooking the city and some of the vineyards in the area. The only negative was that the building isn't well insulated, so... More

We chose this accomodation to explore Cape Town. For this purpose it was really good for us staying there - a well-kept, clean lodge with friendly people in a calm neighbourhood. Having a car it was easy for us to get around. The rooms are decorated in a Safari theme and are very cozy. The view from our balcony over... More

We had booked the lodge for one night before moving to another guesthouse to join our family. We were very upset that we couldn't stay for longer! Kathe was a fantastic host who helped us out in every way from where to eat (she gave us a long list of recommended restaurants that we used throughout our stay) and what... More

Our party of 4 stayed in the 2 Garden Suites in December. The suites are clean and functional, but I would not classify them as luxury accommodations. We were definitely disappointed after all of the rave reviews. The bathrooms are tiny. The suites are dark and 3 light bulbs were out for the duration of our stay in our suite.... More

Ikhaya lodge is on the ridge in Constantia and has a fantastic view over the vineyards down to the Cape Town plain below. It is very atmospheric with thatched roof, zebra rugs and animal heads on the walls. All very 'African', and done beautifully. The rooms were clean, breakfasts great on the verandah with the view, and the staff helpful.... More

Kathe, pronounced Cater, the manageress, couldn't have been more welcoming and her staff were delightful! For various reasons we had a long stay and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The breakfasts are excellent!

Kathe is a lovely hostess, the lodge itself is beautiful, and set in gorgeous surroundings. Breakfasts (good and plentiful) on the patio with an awesome view was the best way to start a day of sightseeing. My only (minor) negative would be that the cottage lacked a good clean, but the staff were so friendly, I'm sure had I asked... More
