The atmosphere of this place is the best, every time I would leave for the day and come back it felt like I was coming home. It really is the staff that makes this place so great (and the other travelers!) they are incredibly helpful, as a solo international traveler I tend to have a 1000 questions a day-- is...

I came home to South Africa for a family wedding. Decided to fly by myself to Capetown. Booked at ONCE and never looked back! Met amazing people, hiked Table mountain, and made everlasting friendships! I stayed for a week. I've traveled and stayed in hostels around the world and if you're traveling alone I would highly recommend this place!

Hi, I just stayed at once in Cape Town, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff was absolutely amazing very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and the backpacker locker is big, you can leave all your stuff in there. :)

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Location, cleanliness, bar, pizzas, staff, value, ....ticks all the boxes. Definitely recommend it to anyone heading to Cape Town. Can't wait to come back!

stayed in OICT for the last night of my trip , great for solo travelers , where you will meet so many travelers from all over the world, rooms are clean, dorm is a bit tiny but still ok , they serve free breakfast & coffee , atmosphere is really amazing . you can also join some trips with them.

We arrived in cape town after a road trip from Johannesburg. Once in Cape Town was the best hostel we stayed at without doubt. The rooms were great, cleaned regularly, standard ensuite bathroom, comfortable beds. The atmosphere of the place was so lively even considering it was the off season. But the main reason for writing a review was the...

One of the best hostels I've had the pleasure of staying in! Awesome vibe, great breakfast, perfect location for town, loved the bring and braai and everything was spot on. Appreciated the 'bucket' idea for cleaning - making sure water wasn't wasted during a water shortage, but the bathrooms were still clean. Will def be back.

This is such a fun place! We had a small but comfortable shared space. The decor feels semi industrial in places but nicely local and trendy. Breakfast is on a coupon system in the downstairs restaurant -good coffee and a few other good basics. The best is its central location and the fact that so much can be walked to...

The location is central which makes everything very simple. If you like party hostels I am sure you will love Once in Cape Town, it offers a service largely based on partying. The free breakfast is awesome!!!! They also have many activities on offer which are easy to organise. However, it wasn't a very laid back hostel,I felt out of...

I've stayed at once in Capetown twice both times on the second floor, both private rooms. The first room was closest to the stairs and on the opposite side, this was a great room and we couldnt hear the bar down stairs, bed was very comfy and has it's own bathroom. The second room i stayed in was on the...
