I love the Walden House. It is in a quaint quirky area with arty shops and nice restaurants. I like this end of town much more than he waterfront. The Company's Gardens, The cathedral and several great museums are all within walking distance. The rooms are lovely, staff friendly, breakfast excellent

We were a group of 10 adults (family and friends in the 20s, 50s and one 90 year old) staying at Walden House for 10 days. The guesthouse was carefully selected after reviewing other guesthouses in the area. The selection was based on value for money, location and ability to offer peace and tranquility to a diverse group. We rented...

The location is good for just about everywhere in the city. The view from our room was of Table Mountain - what more can you ask for? The room was large and the staff were very helpful throughout. There is secure parking, although it is a bit of a squeeze. Owing to a combination of circumstances we did not have...

We had booked a suite, which was not in the main house but in an extention to its left. We were disappointed by the wall facing our main bay window and the length of the room instead of a nice square room. It lacked the cosy atmosphere that the main building seemed to convey. The reception staff was also too...

When I arrived at Walden House the staff were very friendly and professional and allowed me to book in a bit earlier as our meetings finished sooner than expected. They were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast the next morning was great. Thanks for an awesome stay

This guesthouse was in a great location with easy accessibility to most of the popular sites in the area. There are so many cafes and small shops that are within walking distance. The grounds are beautifully manicured and rooms very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions that we had. In the midst of what some...

Lovely rooms. Friendly reception . Scrumptious breakfast. Will definitely revisit! We arrived on a sunny Sunday afternoon and were welcomed by friendly staff who directed us to restuarants in the area for lunch. Rest of the day was at leisure at the hotel which felt luxurious.
