Was not staying here but four of us walked along the promenade on a nice night to sit here with a few drinks watching the sun set. Great location, friendly staff and not expensive. My wife actually got extra cocktails from the bar as they were trying out some new versions so nice touch. seemed a nice place to stay.

Great location and super friendly . Smiles all round on arrival and continues to the last farewell . This is an iconic hotel on the Sea Point strip . Based on this quad design the hotel lends itself to this marvelous inner garden garden area which is brilliant for alfresco dining . Really comes into it's own when the Sunday...

I really would like to give full marks to Winchester Mansions - but can't overlook one of the rudest staff encounters I have ever had in years of staying at hotels all over the world. I hope its atypical and the staff member concerned either reforms or leaves this otherwise very nice hotel. I have stayed in several other hotels...

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and the most important aspect has got to be the fantastic service of all the staff. They were brilliant, they made us feel so welcome and we were able to have a laugh and a joke with them. There was nothing wrong with the room it was just average. However, the meal at...

As almost everywhere in South Africa the smell in the room was not the best due to moisture and dust. The hole family started to suffer from allergy. food was good and the stuff friendly. The hotel saw it's best days many years ago. Won't visit the place again

I have stayed at this hotel twice before because of the location, i.e. proximity to the Promenade, the V&A Waterfront, the Virgin Active Gym, restaurants, etc, etc. I had booked a modern classic room but when we were shown to the room on the 3rd floor - it fell far short of expectations. The room was dark and dingy. Fortunately,...

Absolutely fantastic experience. The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful. The guys in the bar were great fun and made my staying alone for a work trip less boring and lonely. Breakfast was great and the location is perfect. Room 326 by far the best room in the hotel having switched from 121 having needed to extend my...

We stayed at the Winchester Mansions Hotel for 5 nights. This was the perfect location away from the hustle bustle of the city centre and yet close enough for us to explore Cape Town and the many tourist attractions in this beautiful city. The hotel was of a very high standard, excellent food, excellent staff and bar overlooking the sea...

We stayed for 7 nights at Winchester Mansions at the end of February/ March. Before we travelled I had researched hotels in Cape Town because we prefer hotels with character that fit the location, and what a location! Not for us a modern high rise glass and metal, cold and clinical hotel where you could be anywhere in the world!...

service was extremely good, from check in, issues, lunch, breakfast to check out. Rooms are comfortable and pillows fantastic. Best veg pasta I have eaten ever!! good selection for breakfast as well - may however consider more vegetarian options. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to assist! Wihan was great at solving wifi issues.
