I stayed here for 6 nights for business meetings which we had in the hotel. My boyfriend joined me in the trip. We had heard from my colleague that the 2nd floor was a smoking floor. I'm very sensitive and allergic to cigarette smoke. So, when we got there and they tried to put us in 2nd floor, I quickly...

We stayed at the Commodore during our trip to South Africa, (September 10-13th Our stay was wonderful, the rooms were beautiful, service excellent, and a wonderful breakfast, which was included in our package. We did not pick this hotel ourselves, but by our tour company.(Tourcan) We were very pleased with their choice, the location was excellent, easy walking to the...

We were unfortunate to stay in one of the rooms not renovated. Old decor, small rooms. The staff was helpful and friendly and breakfast plentiful. Very close to the v&a waterfront. Wouldn't stay there again on the count of the small rooms for the amount of money.

Stayed here with friends for one week in September. Location near to the Victoria and Alfred waterfront is excellent. During the day there is even a short cut to make the short walk even shorter. Reception and dining room staff were very pleasant and the tour desk at the hotel made arrangements for us to have a private vehicle to...

Arrived very tired after a long day travelling. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had been allocated a room with super views but when we got upstairs key wouldn't work. Bellboy went back downstairs and was told that we had been transferred to another room (newly renovated) as original room was under renovation. Room was a bit small. Renovations did...

A very good location near the Waterfront but then it goes downhill. At the front desk we were told that the modernisation noise would not start until 8am so I asked why put us in a room near to it. This brought about a strange look from the desk clerk but he then said he would change the room. I...

Great location, excellent food, nice pool (cold) and lovely restaurant staff. Why the one star? I booked a room advertised as a 6th floor room overlooking the bay and paid months in advance. When booking, I noted that the construction works would be complete in June - not an issue as I was arriving in September. Upon arrival, I was...

Lovely hotel with exceptional service and hospitality only a few minutes walk from the Waterfront. Fantastic buffet breakfast and valet parking included. Rooms a little small but very comfortable. I was traveling with my mother so we had a twin room. Highly recommend.
