Myself and my wife stayed in a room here in November and our mothers stayed in another room. The service was fantastic - check in was done very quickly and very professionally. Having travelled a fair bit I thought the breakfast which was included in the price of the room was very high quality for a free breakfast. The lobby...

Wonderful location just 5 minutes walk (if that) from the V&A Waterfront. We pretty much just used this hotel as a based while we explored Cape Town. Rooms were nothing special, but very comfortable. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly. My only complaint is that the shower/bath tub only has a tiny glass plate to keep the water from getting...

I stayed 4 nights at Commodore. Here are my two cents: Room: The fridge was noisy. The bath was leaking. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. The joints of the tiles in the bathroom require serious revision. Breakfast: OK Desk: Fine and kind for check-in and check-out. But if you ask for more details, then they propose "Travel" and...

The Commodore Hotel, where we stayed on Thursday night last week at a corporate rate of R1500 pp per night, including breakfast, is such a typical case of a hotel that is so well located but does not make the experience of staying there anything special. The rooms are as boring as it can possibly be, even though everything works....

At the end of a 3.5 week visit to South Africa I stayed at the Commodore for 8 days. Justifies its 4 star rating. Location is superb - only 100 m to everything the V&A waterfront has to offer (and that's a lot!). I walked to & from the main town a number of times - its about 2km -...

Great hotel for super service, cleanliness and location at the waterfront. Felt very safe walking to and from restaurants at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and a huge choice to suit all tastes. Happy to recommend!

Every February thousands of mining industry visitors descend on Cape Town for the Mining Indaba. This is a busy week for all of us, and it is essential to be based at a good hotel with decent facilities and which is close enough to the key venue ( the ICC) and the V&A Waterfront where many of the social events...

This hotel is located 5 min walk from V & A waterfront with all its great restaurants, shops and attractions. The staff were very friendly and facilities and service was un faulted. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of choice. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Capetown and want to be in the centre of everything.
