Great hotel and location. 1-2 minute walk to the Waterfront with modern shopping mall, nice shops and restaurants, and entertainment (music and acts) on the open mall. Food in the hotel was fantastic, beer reasonably priced, and coffee available around the clock. Staff were very friendly and joked around with us like old friends. Beware, throughout South Africa, of sparkling...

The Portswood is a reasonably priced hotel located near to all of the shops and restaurants at the V&A Waterfront. The staff are excellent and will go out of their way to help with any queries or needs that you may have. We travelled in July but booked well in advance paying under £200 for 3 nights including breakfast. The hotel wasn't the easiest to find and the entrance is on a road that runs parallel to the main waterfront. Upon arrival we were greeted by polite valet staff who parked the car securely for us. The room was generous and clean...

The hotel is located a few hundred meters away from the most happening part of Cape Town (V&A waterfront) and you can get there in 1-2 minutes walk. The rooms are quite nice and cozy with modern amenities. The food served at the hotel is also quite good and the staff is very courteous. The hotel can also arrange for...

Great service, friendly staff, good food. The hotel is just 5 minute walk to the waterfront. Only drawback was the noisy elevator and early morning noise! However the staff and warm ambience in the hotel made up for this. Very attentive waiting and bar staff. Room was well cleaned each day.

We stayed at the Portswood for 3 nights. The hotel was very welcoming, offering valet parking and was in a great location for exploring the V&A Waterfront and Cape Town. We stayed here with a large group of family and friends from all around the globe, and the hotel staff were wonderful! The location is perfect and just a 3 minute walk to the Waterfront. The morning breakfast spread was great with a good variety and lots of egg options. They will make your bacon crispy if you ask! :)...
