The hotel lobby and rooms are beautiful. We stayed in a mountain view family room and the city/harbor view was spectacular. We dined in-room and at the restaurant multiple times during our 6 night stay and found the food service to be superb. The hotel staff was professional and friendly. The surrounding V&A Waterfront area is very nice. We really liked this hotel.

I recently spent four nights at this hotel on business. I must say that the location is magnificent and the appeal of the lobby area beautiful. The concierge was magnificent and her suggestions on sights, tours, and dining proved to be exceptional. I was only on arrival in the upgraded room that things went south. The bathroom sink drain was blocked and would not drain. The electronic key card would work once and only once requiring a trip to the front desk for every exit and entrance. The shower was a harrowing experience. The water was either dangerously scalding hot or ice cold with no happy medium possible. In the evenings, the internet performance would degrade eventually taking you to a server that came its it’s own insecure warning. On my next trip, I will sacrifice the location and stay at the Westin to trade for function. This hotel is pretty on the outside like a shiny object but dysfunctional on the inside desparetly in need of competent engineering.

The hotel is absolutely lovely walking in. Majestic and very neat and clean. We went for the high tea today and unfortunately on my second course there was a piece of chipped glass on my plate. It had cream on it so I wasn't sure if the glass with the cream chipped and I added it to my scone but the manager said after inspection in the kitchen it was the dome used to cover the food that chipped. Needless to say I was completely overwhelmed and couldn't finish the meal so we decided to leave. The manager was very gracious and offered us a treat on the house when we were ready to come back. I hope I didn't end up eating any pieces of glass. Would highly recommend that they consider changing to an alternative or strictly check plates before leaving the kitchen. Unfortunately this episode could lead to someone losing their life, especially if it was served to a child. Mistakes happen. I hope changes are made.

Stunning hotel with a beautiful view of Table mountain and the harbor. I would highly recommend getting the Mountain View rooms . Friendly staff make you feel welcome and the rooms are very clean and well maintained . You feel part of the hustle of the waterfront ,yet it’s quiet and peaceful when back in the hotel
