No visit to Cape Town is complete without a visit to the Belmond Mount Nelson! You are instantly transported back in time. The hotel is beautiful and the garden is stunning! The most amazing thing however is the Afternoon Tea! It was so good, we went twice in one week! You are treated like royalty the moment you enter the...

Beautiful property, friendly, helpful staff. One of THE best hotels I've ever stayed in. If you get the opportunity to stay in a cottage, take it. We had three nights there and it was worth every penny, er rand.

I recently had the opportunity to spend a night at the Mount Nelson with my team. Whilst I had previously thought that the property was dated, this visit really opened my eyes to a hidden gem, stuck in a time warp. The property is more than a 100 years old and was built to house passengers from the liners plying...

We called for afternoons tea having read previous reviews and where not disappointed. This is a must do the food was great and the cake choices just left you flabbergasted far to many to mention but all great quality but I would say the Lemon Meringue Pie with home made lemon curd was awesome

We stayed for three nights at the Mount Nelson, before heading to the winelands, and on our return to Cape Town tried several other five-star options (Table Bay, Taj, Twelve Apostles) in the city. While we weren't disappointed with any of those options, the Mount Nelson for us takes top spot. The property is absolutely beautiful, and breaths history. Service...

What a grand, old luxurious hotel in the middel of Cape Town! Very friendly staff at checkin. Not your usual boring high rise hotel. We loved the nice room with great, big shower and the above average breakfast. Will we return? As soon as possible.

I took my wife to the Mnt Nelson to celebrate her birthday. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient from the moment we checked in. Our room was lovely, clean and had a beautiful view of table mountain. A definite gem in Cape Town. The only disappointment was the restaurant. It is meant to be one of South Africa's best--...
