We stayed four nights at the Queen Victoria and were very pleased with every aspect of the hotel. It is extremely well situated, just two minutes' walk from the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront yet hidden away on a quiet street. The rooms are luxurious and very comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, providing us advice and...

We recently stayed here after renovations on the Victoria & Alfred hotel ran overtime. Thankfully, on very short notice we were able to get a room here for 4 nights. The hotel itself is stunning and only a few minutes walk from V&A waterfront. The hotel is in a sort of complex with a couple of other hotels so it's...

During our 2 day escape with my wife to Capetown, we stayed at Queen Victoria Hotel and we were extremely pleased with our lucky find as our original search criteria was simply proximity to the Waterfront. Situated among historic old harbour buildings just above the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, this remodelled mid-size boutique hotel was a real gem with its...

The hotel is small - only 2 floors of rooms in an older building. It's tastefully done up with quality fittings and feels like a very luxury little boutique hotel. A great choice if like me you find the big hotels a bit soulless. Staff very friendly and helpful - lots of smiles and happy to help you. I needed...

Great accommodations. Luxurious rooms with everything you require. Continental and hot breakfast included and was very good. We did not have lunch but had dinner and it was very good also. Wonderful Staff! All so friendly and accommodating to every need. Close to waterfront and any activity can be planned and are not far away.

I have stayed at 5-6 different hotels in Cape Town but now I will only stay here. Location, location, location! It's near the Waterfront but hidden away and quiet, so very convenient. Service in Cape Town can be hit and miss but here it was consistently excellent. My room was very spacious and well appointed with a very large bathroom...

This place is on the edge of the Waterfront which is probably the most expensive part of Capetown in which to stay. Rooms were airy and well equipped but quite small. Satff are very helpful. Breakfasts above average

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen Victoria Hotel is the newest addition to Newmark Hotel’s portfolio, which offers a myriad of ideally located upmarket hotels, other accommodation options and restaurants. What sets this unique five-star boutique hotel apart is the attention to detail given by the creative team responsible for its development, who achieved this through their unwavering passion for awe-inspiring design. From the creative brief of ‘where classic elegance meets contemporary design’, every effort has been made to ensure that the 35-room Queen Victoria Hotel is a haven of calm, luxury and understated opulence amongst the hustle and bustle of Cape Town’s popular V&A Waterfront. The interiors create an ambience of peaceful elegance, through the use of greys and taupes, marble-clad walls, crystal chandeliers, white marble and wooden parquet flooring, not to mention the triple-volume foyer with its dramatic white spiral staircase, glass lift and crystal chandeliers. The signature shade of deep purple has been employed to add a touch of regal eccentricity as an ode to the historic figure after whom the hotel is named. From the food and beverage offering at the hotel’s restaurant and bar, Dash, to the interior aesthetic, the Queen Victoria Hotel embodies a sense of international flair fused with local flavour. The menu at Dash is structured around classic French cuisine, with all ingredients sourced locally and seasonally, while ninety per cent of the interior pieces were sourced from local design geniuses. With a management team and staff dedicated to making every guest feel like royalty, a stay at the Queen Victoria Hotel will certainly exceed your expectation of what five-star luxury should be like. ... more   less
