We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners and staff are attentive, but not intrusive, friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful to have a comfy bed when away from home and quiet room too. Superb location, close to Kloof St for eating out, so no need to take a car. Well situated for sightseeing. All round great place...

Beautiful house. Very well renovated, contemporary design. Very comfortable and clean room. Excellent breakfast. Big availability of the host, Anne, for assistance on restaurants, visits, travels and reservations. Situated in a quiet district but near all the services and only 20 minutes walking distance to the city center. Beautiful inviting common spaces on the first floor, lounge, bar, dinning room.

Everything about Underberg is excellent: welcoming hosts, location, fabulous breakfast, immaculate rooms, beautiful building. Bruce and Ann made our stay memorable; they couldn't have been more helpful. Everything we wanted to do was organised for us, taxis appeared when needed. A really great experience.

Loved this place. Excellent guest house, very well appointed. Very friendly and sincere hosts. Super breakfast. Absolutely nothing to complain about. And within a comfortable walk to city centre. We were arriving late at night, after 11pm at CT airport. The hosts arranged a car transfer, and when we arrived at the property at midnight, there was someone there to...

We very much enjoyed staying at the Underberg. It was a beautiful old building which is well presented, in a convenient area and the rooms were very comfortable. Ann and Bruce were also very welcoming and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our trip. It is a beautiful, spacious building. It is well located. Excellent value for money. There isn't always someone there, so it did lack the personal touch of other guest houses, but they were very helpful and friendly when they were there.

Well appointed and large guesthouse. Very clean rooms. Powerful shower. Character building with plantation shutters - although they leak light (which may lead to an early wake up call), they are very elegant. Bruce and Anne were helpful in recommending things to do and where to eat. Great stay!
