Anne & Bruce Veale, the owners, were extremely helpful before we had even arrived in Capetown. They advised us of nearby attractions, hop on/off bus, terrific. On arrival took time to show us via maps, nearest points of interest etc. We had a lovely room with air conditioning and ceiling fan, great bed and en suite shower, breakfasts were excellent,...

Ann and Bruce were wonderful and gracious hosts for our Cape Town stay. The guest house is immaculate, warm and welcoming with great amenities. It's a convenient location, short and safe walk to first class restaurants and to Long and Kloof Streets. A great view of Table Mountain, too! A first class, full, cooked breakfast, honor bar, room safe and...

Underberg House was a fantastic place to stay during our 2 night visit to Cape Town. Starting with offering to organise transport from the airport before we arrived, Anne & Bruce went out of their way to make us feel comfortable from the minute we arrived-which was VERY early after a 6am flight-even offering us a full English breakfast as...

Extemely good location in a calm street very close to some excellent restaurants. We have read on the hotels.com site that it shouldn't be any reception, but that wasn't true. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was at good standard and the rooms nice and clean. Overall a place that we will stay at again when we...

The house is a delightful Victorian villa with lots of original features, decorated to a very high standard with some beautiful furniture. It is also very comfortable. The area is safe with a large...

We enjoyed almost two weeks at Underberg Guesthouse and it was definitely the perfect choice to discover Cape Town. Based in a safe area in Tamboerskloof, hotspots such as Kloof-, Bree- and Long Street, but also downtown and Bo Kaap are within walking distance. Restaurants, cafés and bars are also close by. A walk to the table mountain cable way...
