We spent a month travelling around South Africa finishing off with our last night at Mannabay. This was just the icing on the cake to a truly amazing holiday. The location is perfect it is high up on the hillside with Table Mounain at the back and stunning views at the front overlooking Cape Town. The atmosphere is very relaxed....

Very cosy, well situated close to table mountain and kloof street which has a variety of restaurants. Warm staff and homely feel. Great breakfast and you need to try the oven baked omelette!! Look for Ayanda, he'll bring you anywhere around the city.

This place is just fab. The most interesting and modern architecture and decor. Views over Cape Town amazing and the afternoon tea and breakfasts sublime, together with the complimentary glasses of wine or bubbly was just the icing on the cake. The evening shuttles for getting to restaurants was that extra that this place needs as you are slightly out...

Located at the foot of Table Mountain in a residential area MannaBay is the ideal place to stay in Cape Town. With fantastic views; Table Mountain to the rear and the city from the front, matched by the décor and comfort of bedrooms and common lounge areas inside. The staff, one and all are exceptional; friendly, cheerful, helpful an ultimately...

We stayed at several places in and around Cape Town - and for the money spent, and the views, and the art collection, and the gym, and the residential-feeling neighborhood, and the proximity town (20min walk to Cape Town National Gallery, Long Street, etc)....this place WINS. Great modern style. Great contemporary art. AMAZING staff/hostess. I cannot speak highly enough of...

To start and finish our two weeks in Cape Town in this amazing hotel/B&B palace was the best experience we have had in Cape Town! The service, high tea, rooms, breakfasts & transport service to restaurants make this the ideal location to start and finish any travel to this most amazing region in South Africa. We stayed at Mannabay for a few nights a week ago. We had a fantastic stay. The place itself as our room has a great view of Capetown from the top of the hill. Breakfast was delicious as was the high tea which was included. All day long drinks were offered. We even had coffee in bed every morning. Was...

We stayed here for three nights at the start of our honeymoon - what a truly unique and special place! The hotel is more like a luxurious bed and breakfast - very intimate setting. I loved the breakfast - so many delicious options and the afternoon tea was always beautiful and plenty. We were helped by Mitch many times with...

On our recent trip to CT and Winelands we stayed in five hotels ranging from about £300 to £950 per night - this was the cheapest and came an equal first with Birkenhead House! What really makes this place apart from the location, views, superb high tea, fab spacious immaculate rooms, comfy beds, complimentary transport to restaurants, good breakfast cooked...

I'd call MannaBay a fancy bed and breakfast. Sitting at the foot of Table Mountain, and with a view of the entire city, this spot is the opposite of staying at the WaterFront. The hotel would provide a ride to our restaurant, and would in turn provide us (also) with a car pickup, by paying a nominal $10 cash payment...
