Ikhaya Lodge was nothing but awesome for us. It's perfect located near Companys Gardens in a quiet area of the vivid city of Cape Town. The rooms are nice and the bathroom was perfect for us. Very nice is the large wintergarden, I enjoyed it so much to work a little online with a glas of african wine in the...

If you want a reasonably priced hotel in located in walking distance to much of central Cape Town then this is it. But there are always caveat. The place probably needs a do over, my room was small and the internet mediocre. The breakfast is OK, and they do offer expresso!

Dear Guest, Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. We delighted that you share our sentiments regarding our wonderful location which has a quaint and yet vibey square with stunning views of Table Mountain to boot. Regarding the internet, we are excited about the laying down of fibre on our street and are currently investigating this option. We have...

Overall: Charming lodge, and a great value for the money. --The rooms: Clean and comfortable, no huge frills, but definitely charm. See the photos for the carved woodwork and the ceiling, which I thought were nice touches. The staff: The front desk staff was always smiling and everybody, especially Ida, was particularly helpful. The breakfast staff tried to be helpful,...

I was more thank lucky to get a room at the Ikhaya Lodge last minute. The staff received me so warmheartedly that I immediately felt at home. The rooms have a very special flair. I loved to sit in what we would call a winter garden, since the terrace could be closed with glas. the location is perfect right on...

I guess you get what you pay for, you could pay more to be more central, to have a swimming pool or to have bigger room so I cannot be harsh on this, quite basic hotel with small rooms and quite a distance from main town. But I got what I paid for with a smile which always helps.

We spent 3 enjoyable nights here. We had everything we needed for a reasonable price: A clean room, comfy bed, tea maker and mini fridge in room, good breakfast with eggs a la carte, extremely friendly and helpful staff, safe parking. The room was a bit small and dark, but nicely decorated as the whole House. The location in Gardens...

Loved this place. It's in a lovely quaint area of Cape Town with a nice view of Table Mountain. Room was comfortable with an outdoor covered balcony. The staff were helpful and friendly and of course breakfast is included as seems to be the case in Africa. It's walking distance to shops and a street market with nice souvenirs. Overall...

Stayed for a few nights on arriving in Cape Town. I'll not pretend any different - we knew that this was a budget hotel and we weren't expecting anything else. Fortunately Ikhaya Lodge proved to be a comfortable and peaceful place to stay. The staff were friendly, car parking was easy due to the public car park just outside, the...

Perfect location in the city to access restaurants, nightlife and main attractions. Lovely helpful staff. Nice hot breakfast. But the rooms are the best, big, breezy, clean and and beautiful African feel. Big soft king bed, hot water shower, excellent view of Table Mountain. Good bar across the road. Everything you need to enjoy Cape Town at your footsteps!

I really enjoyed my short stay at the Ikhaya Lodge, more so because of the homely feel of the place - from the African setting and the staff here who are exceptionally friendly. Special thanks to Idah who went the extra mile to make sure my stay here was more than comfortable.
