Driving non-stop from Cape Town, coming for an evening drink at the club is bliss. Quiet music in the background, doors into the courtyard open for a breeze, and chilled drinks. Wine is very reasonably priced per glass and wasn't terrible wine either. The other drink prices is not club prices, its pretty standard and on par with any other...

Fantastic historical gem, great service and food. Location in center of town which has degenerated making a quiet peaceful night not possible. Road noise and late night revelry is clearly audible and not recommended any road facing room. A great pity as the premises is rich in history and one of Kimberleys early monuments to success

Imagine you are traveling back to the 19th century. You are one of those pioneers, fascinated by the diamond rush. Upon your arrival in Kimberley, you have been advised to join the gentlemen club at the Kimberley club. After tiring days of diamonds digging, you relax playing bridge, pool, cards, drinking your G&T or your sherry in one of the...

We recently spent two nights at The Kimberley Club. In fact, staying there was one o the reasons we went to Kimberley. We enjoyed it tremendously, in particular the sense of stepping back in history. The room was well appointed and we enjoyed our meals, taken both in The Grill Room and on the outside verandah. However, while the staff...

It is with great sadness I write this review. Over the past two and a hald years, I have stayed at the Kimberley Club three times. During this time I have seen standards deteriorating significantly, alongside increasing prices. The most obvious is the gross deterioration in the restaurant in terms of quality and service. What is worse, this coincides with...

If you want a slick corporate hotel, don't stay here. If you want history and bags of atmosphere and a glimpse into how the old diamond magnates lived 100 years ago, then this is for you. Take a sneak into the reading room, enjoy a G&T in the panelled bar and have dinner in the dress coded Rhodes Room. We...

We had made plans to drive further east before stopping but a friend told us we must not miss the chance to stay at the Kimberley Club. What a great decision, the hotel is amazing and has managed to keep all of the character blending in the new and the old. We stayed in room one which was delightful and...

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a large room with double bed on the first floor in this historically significant instituition. The room had both a bath and a shower. The wifi was not working for part of ther time but once it was fixed it was ok. Breakfast was good. There is also a bar and two...

The Kimberley Club is a beatiful old hotel which we have previously enjoyed. The staff were very plesant and helpful and we enjoyed a delicioous dinner and breakfast - not many establishments commence breakfast at 6.30. Filled with wonderful memorabilia

What a disaster! Having spent 8 nights on a road trip through SA staying in some lovely 4 star (and one 5 star) establishment we had high expectations of the 4 star rated Kimberly Club. However, from the moment of check in things did not go well. There were two of us travelling together and they had put us in...
