After having spent 2 days in the Kruger Park we arrived quite tired at Mhlati Guest Cottages and we were completely overwhelmed how beautiful it was! This is the perfect place (an oasis) to stay outside Kruger Park. Malelane Gate is just a short drive away and there is also a very good restaurant (Hamiltons). The owners, Eric and Janet,...

We recently stayed at the B&B close to the Malelane gate... Eric and his wife was very friendly and Eric waited for us until late as we arrived much later than planned - we were grateful... The breakfast was tasty, but not really in line with what we are use to... as an example no proper cheese, only little Melrose...

Hi there, Thank you for your enquiry and we are disappointed that you were not totally happy with you stay. While our excellent status drives us to do better and better, we apologise that you found the rooms lacked privacy. If you had let us know, we would have happily moved you to our Buffalo Cottage. As for cheeses, we...

So there we were, tired after our overnight flight and a 6 hour drive, too late to enter Kruger, and looking for shelter. And we found Mhlati, quiet, luxurious, welcoming, you just can't get any luckier than that. Lovely hosts, excellently positioned just down the road from the Malelane Gate, a splendid restaurant (Hamiltons) just a short drive away. A...

We only stayed one night here but next time we are in the area, we'll definitely stay longer. Beautifully designed cottages with friendly and helpful owners. It would be a handy stop-over destination to visit Kruger National Park but outside the gates. Many thanks.

What can I say about Mhlati Guest Cottages (MGC) that hasn't already been said by the many 5 star reviews that others have posted on Tripadvisor? The owners are very warm and accommodating: - They lent us their binoculars (which helped us spot game in the Kruger Park that we otherwise would not have), without us even asking for them!...
