We have traveled extensively in South Africa and witnessed very hospitable owners, Plumbago tops them all. Robbie and Ilara go the extra mile to make sure all your needs are met and wishes fulfilled. They take their time to listen to their guests and if desired provide them with useful information. Add the beautiful location (secluded but very close to...

I've been fortunate enough to travel extensively, for both business and pleasure and I'd have to say that Plumbago Guest House is amongst my favourite places in the world. I and my family always stay there if we are visiting the Kruger National ark or playing golf at one of the terrific courses in the area. We are always assured...

A delightful property about 10 mins drive from the centre of Hazyview. Both the accommodation and public rooms were beautifully furnished and set in a glorious garden with views across to Kruger Park. We could not have been made more welcome by Ilara who was very hospitable and helpful with plenty of local advice. Breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommended as...

Our family of four needed a place to stay for our second to last night near Kruger as the park accomodation was full. After an amazing seven days in Kruger, we were sad to leave however Plumbago and the Hazyview area turned out to be a real treat. Plumbago is an amazing oasis, tucked away off the main highway. The...

Our second visit was as good as the first one! Ilara and Robbie make great hosts and Plumbago is the ideal place to stop over en route to the Kruger National Park or if you are exploring the Escarpment. We can also recommend requesting dinner (although you need to do so before arrival) - absolutely fabulous after a long drive....
