This story needs to be told: My husband and myself travel in our RV frequently. We have stayed at Islander resort on MANY occasions. We have always loved it because it is a high end resort and we have a high end RV. Their spaces can also accommodate large Class A coaches. They keep the park clean and the staff has always been wonderful in the past. (especially Claudia in the office) UP UNTIL TODAY!!! Like I stated we have stayed in this resort MANY times in the past with zero issues. Now to my complaint, today 03/25/2023, I emailed a lady in the office whom I dealt with 95% of the time when it came to time for booking the spaces. She was always so helpful and came to know the areas from which we liked to stay (waterfront) within a couple hours I get an email back from the manager Debbie Sanchez as I start to read the email I am in utter disbelief as to what Debbie is saying. She stated that on our last stay in September of 2022 at check out we were put on the do not return list, yep you read that right 'do not return list" I was in utter shock, remember we have stayed her many times over the years without a glitch, we came to know this Claudia person within the office never had one complaint never had one issue. So you can imagine my surprise when I read this email. She stated that due to our dogs pooping on our campsite and also pooped on someone else camp site and us leaving it that we are no longer welcome to stay at their park. Ok, I get it if that was the case then I would agree we should not be allowed to stay in their park or any other park for that matter. But the truth is we did no such thing. We have two very small dogs one of which is old and blind. We watch our dogs at all times and we carry poop bags if our dogs poop we pick it up the moment they go. They also do not roam onto others camp sites and do business. Also, please keep in mind we also frequent this part and if we did this with our dogs then I would think that we would have gotten a complaint during a past visit. As if this was not enough accusing us of the dog situation Debbie proceeds to say we were approached by another guest in the part about the dogs and were rude to them. I have to say my mouth dropped to the floor when I read this. I was and still am in utter shock. For one, no one from the Islander Guest or staff spoke to us one time during that stay or any other stay about bad behavior or our pets. For two we are campers we love other campers and we go there to have fun and meet and chat with people we are not there to be rude to anyone. Upon check out no one said a word about the pets nor did they mention this so called rude behavior we had with another guest (why because it did not happen) If anyone at the Islander thought this of us why did they not call us and ask. I find this out as I go to book my spaces for 2023 season. We are not these people they have us mixed up with someone else. We do not allow our dogs to poop all over we carry poop bags and pick up their poop, we would NEVER allow our pets to poop on someone else camp site. We are both in customer service we would never be rude to anyone no one approached us at all about our pets or anything else while there. To say we were rude and accuse us of these things many people I mean many people have pets there. When leaving before check out I always walk the site and ensure things look good and we did not leave anything behind there was no dog poop on our site. My husband then calls Debbie to talk to her first thing he said is 'they have us mixed up with someone else" He called her she was very curt on the phone, stated that her staff picked up dog poop by the beach for hours- ok well we are not the only campers they have over 500 RV spaces in this park we were there for 2 days and our dogs were not pooping all over the place. He explained to her this was not us and we have stayed multiple times we have never had one complaint and that we are not those people who would do such a thing. She stated she was standing behind her decision and did not want to hear it. ok, that is fine there are other RV parks and we can stay other places no problem. It is the accusing us of something we did not do. If we did the things we are being accused of I would put my head down and walk away. The issue here is she is taking someone else word I have no idea who is saying these things as we did not do the things stated and she did not even care to listen to our side or look at our past history. I feel this is a defamation of character and how they can accuse us of something that we did not do is beyond disturbing. We are in our mid 50's we own a beautiful coach and we are not these people and to be treated in this manner is the issue I am having. Shame on the Islander and their staff for not looking up someone's past history knowing they are not these people and accusing people of such things and then when the people call to be curt and rude and state you stand behind what was said shame shame on you Debbie! I have to say Shame on Claudia as well, we always dealt with her over the years and she was always so kind that we even brought her Amazon gift cards as a thank you for being so accommodating to not stick up for us and say "I deal with these people and I truly know they would not do these things" Amazing how terrible people can be to each other. " Accusing people of things they did not do and taking others word for it, without one ounce of proof who does this? Debbie Sanchez and her staff at Islander Resort Does this"

This place was very clean and we really enjoyed the stay. Some rules they have are bizarre such as all trash must be taken to the main bin…which can be an incredibly far walk and there are no “sub” bins which I found unusual considering how large their staff is. Also…if doing laundry at the satellite location, there is no change machine. Again, you must make the long walk to the office (recommend a change machine). All in all…lovely stay and by far…the best park as we took a bike ride around to compare!!

Money doesn’t buy class. Sept 29 2021 So excited to see Lake Havasu We drove from Seattle. We are loving the Mountains and impressed with The Lake from what we can see from the road. Pulling into The Islander you come down a grand driveway and you think this is going to be great and then. The Islander rv resort at Lake Havasu. When you call for reservations you get The invasive questions. How old is your RV. How many in your party . What’s their names. How long are you staying. What size is your rV. And this is over the phone. You get grilled again by the snotty security guard at the gate. $75 a night. 2- hour WiFi limit if you can get it. Or you can buy more. Our site is in a park model .development . No signs of life . Park Models or trailer houses everywhere. No one here. A few Large trees but none at our site.(158) I could here a hoot owl far away. no view of the Lake. No WiFi. 95 outside ,the shower and bathroom 1 block away the office ,pool, and library is a block away in the other direction. Seriously 500 sites and only 2 bathrooms? My poor sprained knee. all for $75 a night. A small shuttle service would be nice. This is a double wide trailer Park with snobby staff

Very clean, well maintained facility. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a HUGE RV space right on the lake and were able to beach our boat just a few steps away. Special thanks to Tom who fixed our electrical issue at 7 am and to Nick who helped get my boat on the trailer when the rest of my "crew" were injured the day before. Office staff went out of their way to help, as well. We will definitely return.

We stayed for 3 nights in October 2020. Full disclosure: We owned a park model at the Islander for 9 years so we know how stringent management WAS for those who wanted to list their park models on the rental program. Management has obviously loosened up their standards. My unit was very old, unclean, and very much in need of refurbishment. 2 broken down recliner chairs and a sagging couch provided front room seating. The master bedroom bed contained a mattress on plywood. It was hard and uncomfortable. Bedding was cheap, thin and worn. The second bedroom was accessed inside by walking down extremely steep tile steps. Dangerous construction. It had a bunk with a double futon mattress. The outdoor patio furniture was old and worn. Chair had an extremely thin padding and the carpeting inside and out was stained. No gas in the barbecue and appliances inside did not work, ie blender. I had a similar experience in 2019 but management worked with me to refund part of the payment. Fool me once, shame on you but I decided to give it a second try and fool me twice, shame on me. We have friends in the resort that own their own model and have their own RVs in seasonal/annual spots so we truly wanted to give it another try but we absolutely will not be returning

All the people were great. #417 was in really bad condition and very dirty. We had ants in the bathroom on our toothbrushes, the carpet in the bedroom was black, I couldn't even cook all the pans were in really bad condition. The sofa bed was all busted up my boys couldn't even sleep on it we had to go get a air mattress. The bath room floor was in bad shape and the shower barely worked. I was really disappointed specially how much we paid for it. DO NOT TRUST THE PICTURES. I will never rent a unit there again.

If you're looking for a very clean, and convenient RV Park, this is it. It is also a great place if you'd like to encounter the epitome of an unbelievably rude, power-tripping group of people. Their management makes the Addam's Family seem friendly and inviting. As previous customers of over ten years here, we have taken our business and most importantly to them, our money, elsewhere. Look at many of their other reviews, we are definitely not alone with this experience.

We lucked out and secured a Head In RV site at the Islander RV resort in Lake Havasu. Our site overlooked the marina and small bay and offered great sunrises and sunsets from our massive front window of the coach. The staff are friendly and eager to help make our stay memorable. We were both impressed how well maintained the resort is. Scenic walking paths were so enjoyed. There were active pickle ball courts enjoyed daily and fun to watch. Talking to other guests, this is clearly a place that is returned to yearly and often occupied for several months. We will be back!

I have been coming here for over 20 years, so I am a bit biased. But I have been visiting Havasu for 40 years and have stayed at other parks on the river. The Islander is by far the best. It’s not cheap, but the value is outstanding. Very clean park, large RV sites, nice pool, great boat ramp and well maintained slips. They have a lot of rules, but the rules keep the knuckle heads away. A fantastic place for the family. I hope to be coming here for many more years.
