The camp is perfectly situated above the Olifants River, making for beautiful views over the surrounding area and providing the opportunity to view a wide range of game from your chalet's own verandah. Our family of three spent four nights here recently. Our chalet had everything you'd need, including very effective air conditioning - which we appreciated in the 38...

My wife and I spent a night here in a chalet by the perimeter fence. What fantastic views we got down into the olifants valley. The chalet was clean and comfortable with modern facilities compared to other rest camps. We did not use the kitchen facilities as the food now supplied by the Mug and Bean franchise is very very...

These chalets could really do with renovating. We stayed in two other rest camps on our stay and Olifants is very run down in comparison. The views of the river from the first row of chalets is superb though, I just wish the accommodation was a bit more suited. Mugg & Bean breakfast view was great too.

The first thing that hit us as we went to our hut .. were the VIEWS over the Olifants river and the bush area to FAR in the distance. REAL glad that we got a 'Hut With A View' .. It must be the best view of any SANPARKS camp ... views from the restaurant are the same. The accommodation...

Just returned from 5 days in the Kruger, great experience. Seeing lions on the move on a night drive definitely the highlight. However, it was somewhat spoilt by accommodation at 2 camps. The booking for Olifants stated "No utensils"..........there was nothing, no crockery or even a kettle. Misleading, in my opinion! The answer from Duty Manager - David Magagula "We...

The Olifants Rest camp is a really nice place to stay within the Kruger park. By driving from Paul Kruger gate you should really count 5-6 hours drive if you want to look at animals. You really need to be at the camp before closing so depending on the season between 6-7 pm. The place has a really good outlook....

Our 1st time staying over at Olifants camp. 1 bedroom rondavel on the perimeter. Clean but really old and outdated! The pool is beautiful and clean. The camp itself is well maintained. We did the morning river walk. It was informative. We spotted leopard, baboon and hippo. The drought is taking its toll on all wildlife. The lookout points are...

Great Restcamp, great views from the front line cabins, restaurant not so good, sloooow service and not much to eat after a hard day, why no competetion ? Next time I take my own food and braai (BBQ) everything is there to do your own thing, curio shops ok but not cheap.

The huts are quite basic, but the view over the river and the restaurant are quality stuff. We saw a lot of animals right around the camp, so it is a great base for day and night safaris. We worked our way south from there.
