I stayed here for three days in one of the rooms with a view, and I am glad i did. Unreal sun rise/sets, views of the river with all kinds of animals in them daily. They have a Mugg & Bean restaurant with good food for cheap prices. The gift shop has everything from food and alcohol to items for...

This past weekend we booked accommodation at Olifants Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park. Upon arrival we were told that they currently have a massive problems with baboons in the area. While we appreciate that they told us, what we found unpleasant was that the fridge has been moved from the kitchenette outside to inside the bedroom area. There...

Stayed in one of the newer units. Shower a mess. Entire bathroom showers with you. Could look at moving the BRAAI closer to the unit and staff could keep picnic area clean as previous days mess was still lying around. Shop is much more expensive than other shops in the park.

Nothing beats unit no. 13 for the BEST views in the world! The units are very tired and in serious need of refurbishment. The outside of the unit was unkempt, generally very little attention to detail. We found broken glass in the walkways even below the restaurant deck. We are very regular visitors and would love to see some upgrading...

Very simple rooms but as a base for exploring the national park, it couldn't be better. Amazing views of Olifants river from our room terrace and the restaurant. Quality of food and service in the restaurant is also excellent.

We had Rondavel #1 with river view, one of the most expensive accommodations during our 21 nights in ZA. The Rondavel would have been okay, although on the used side, however the "little extras" were disgusting: excrements on our bedsheets. On the second Day we identified the source, finding a dead bat as well. As the droppings did not cease,...

It was our 3rd camp and we had a great cottage with view of the river from our terrace. Cottage was good and clean, all cooking equipment there, although we just had wine on our terrance and went to the restaurant for dinner :-) The had prebooked the river walk and it was a great experience!

The views were staggeringly beautiful. The camp is perched high on a cliff above the Olifants river. If you don't get a cabin with a view, there's also a great view from the restaurant. We took advantage of the morning game drive, which leaves early (you meet up at 3:45am), but which was fun and informative. We saw massive herds...

We booked a bit late and only got one of the simpler huts. They are very simple but absolutely fine for sleeping. The Olifant Camp is situated beautifully high above the Olifant river. We had one day of pouring rain but still managed to get a nice half of a morning walk (before cancelled due to rain) and a perfect...

Yes you can stay 2 nights. But I found that in trying to do a game walk, a trip to Letaba rest camp ( to visit the Elephant museum) and a game drive, you just don't get the time to sit back and enjoy the splendours that the view offers. I could have stayed for at least another 2 days,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guests that visit Olifants will be exposed to an unforgettable window of Africa. The camp is situated a top a hill which towers several hundred feet over the Olifants river. Views from the lookout platforms allow one to see the river below, just as a soaring eagle would survey it, as it hunts from the skies. ... more   less
