A fairly nice rest camp with plenty of chalets to choose from but it is best to book early to avoid disappointment ,the only niggle was the restaraunts the main one which pretty much ran out of everything except burgers so choice was very limited....More
I have been to the Kruger tens of times and this time I am disappointed not by the animals or the condition of the park but by the incompetence and bad attitude of service provider staff.. The accommodation is by no means luxury but that's...More
Not the greatest camp but the huts have improved since we last stayed with locks on fridge doors now so the monkeys cannot steal your food. We had a basic hut and could not get a perimeter one but for one night it was actually...More
There is something about staying in the African bush and having very basic accommodation. You literally have everything you need. Room, shower, toilet and a nice little kitchen outside with fridge freezer....not forgetting the braai.
Centrally located in the Kruger, we saw plenty of game...More

The two sleeper bungalows are arranged in large circles with grassed areas and trees in the middle of each circle. Satara is situated on a flat plain and therefore the views are not as good as in other rest camps and nor is it on a river. For this reason I'd not worry too much about which bungalow you hire. The main attraction is the predators in the area and I can highly recommend a morning walk in the veld with two rangers. A great experience!
