First trip in 3 years & it is as relaxing & enjoyable as ever. The bungalow is standard, clean & serves it's purpose. Could do with a few new items though. Lower Sabie bungalow a lit more comfortable. Restaurant now a Cattle Baron which is not really suited for vegetarian needs but served delicious snails & fish.

This camp is well organized with Wi-Fi at the restaurant and the various types of accommodation are very well appointed. My guests enjoyed the fact that they could sit and watch the Elephants playing in the river from the safety of their cottage.

We stayed 2 night sin one of the rondavels (LB2D) and we really enjoyed it. The accommodation is very appropriate, with fridge and everything you need if you want to do your own cooking in the close by communal kitchen (where hot water for an early morning coffee is available at all times). There is a nice path along the... More

Recently went to Skukuza and stayed in a newly refurbished family unit that was basically on the banks of the river. The unit can be regarded as basic by some people but I love the Kruger National Park and you go there for the game viewing, not for luxury accommodation. The rooms were very clean with brand new kitchen appliances.... More

We stayed over at the Skukuza Rest Camp as we had to abandon the horrific accommodation we booked somewhere else outside of the park. The chalets were extremely small and are perfect for a one night stay only. They are equipped with self-catering equipment, but is not really suitable as the chalets are really small. Fortunately there is a restaurant... More

I stayed at Skukuza for 1 night in a BD2 bungalow. Out of the 3 rest camps I stayed at during my time in KNP, Skukuza was one of my favorites. The camp is very large and has great facilities. The convenience shop is well stocked, and the one site restaurant Cattle Barron served one of the best steaks I... More

We stayed over only for one night to be able to travel the road between Skukuza and Lower Sabi where there usually are a great variety of animals early in the morning and to be close to my personal favorite: the bird hide at Lake Panic. The camp is well run and the chalet was very clean and comfortable. Not... More

We camped in the Roundavals (we call them yurts) and ate our meals in our Tent camp. the Yurts were nice, basic but very comfortable beds and the showers had good pressure. Our Camp food was fantastic, some of the best meals we had on the whole trip. We had wine each night, and had the opportunity to eat game... More

We are overseas visitors but have stayed at Skukusa 3 times before this visit over the past 10 years. Usually we get a cottage on the river but this time we were tucked away on a cul du sac with nothing to see but other cottages. We had a bat in one room which had managed to cover the beds... More

Second time at Skukuza and second time in one of the strangely named semi luxury river view chalets. These have a really nice position, quiet yet near all amenities. The rooms are a bit ragged round the edges but a bargain price for Europeans. The braai is in the wall which makes it less effective than a normal one. We... More
