You know you're in a magical place when the staff lines up to greet you not just on arrival, but also each time you return from a game drive. You know you're drenched in luxury when your room is an "Out of Africa" suite, complete with a canopy bed, wood-burning fireplace, indoor and outdoor showers, claw foot tub, private wrap-around...

There are no words to describe the beauty, elegance and graciousness of this resort. The food was excellent, the staff was the most helpful we have experienced in South Africa, and everyone on our trip was helpful. Our Suite had a deck with an infinity pool and our Ranger Ryan Jack and Mumps, our guide, took every step necessary to...

Royal Malewane is as close to perfection as it is possible to experience whilst not dreaming. We had a wonderful holiday. It is pure luxury from arrival to departure. The accommodation is glorious in terms of detail and comfort - and the staff, every single one of them, are wonderful and so attentive to their guests' every need. The cuisine...

Having just returned, with my husband, from a stay at the Royal Malewane and want to go back as soon as possible! I cannot imagine a more idyllic way to view game in the South African bush. Beiginning with the physical beauty of the Royal Malewane, with the sensitivity given to the environment and respect for the animals that surround...

Without a doubt, our experience at the Royal Malewane, was the best part of an amazing trip filled with incredible experiences. Owned by the Biden Family and run by an amazing staff, we wanted for nothing. We had come from a two day stay in Hermanus at Birkenhead House, another Biden property, so we knew to expect 5 star treatment...

We received the suggestion to visit the Royal Malewane by a South African friend who is a seasoned traveler and a member of our wine organization. So we had high expectations for the visit. Even with this expectation we were truly impressed with the luxury accommodations, the dining experience and the extraordinary staff. Our ranger was amazing and led us...

While this was our second trip to Royal Malewane, it was every bit as special this go around. Enough cannot be said about the tremendous team. It is very apparent that management leads by incredible example. No request seems too big or to be an inconvenience. Everyone in every corner of RM is there to assist you with the most...

Since we arrived with a big plastic bag of new items we looked a little out of place for our reception committee among the lavish objets d'art in the lounging area under tall overarching thatch. But when the ice melted this was a lovely place to stay in safari country - one of my favorites. This is a perfect choice...

Our second visit to Royal Malewane was every bit as perfect as the first. The lodges & the facilities are absolutely spectacular, the food is delicious & being a gluten free guest I was catered for incredibly well. What really makes staying at the Royal Malewane so special is the staff; the team are so friendly, so personable, incredibly caring...
