To get the real feeling of the yesterday Kruger Park, Punda Maria is the place. Old style bungalows with comunal cooking and braai areas. Average restaurant. Lots of animals in the vicinacy( elephants, buffalo and nyala)

Service o.k. except cleaners stole teaspoons I brought with me because no catering equipment was supplied. Toilette was reeking after sewerage, had to close door at night. wooden roof in shower loose, hit my head on it. poor maintenance. Did not get my pensioners discount from Forever Resort, was advised to book directly at SAN Parks. No such luck. Driver at...

Stayed in a lovely 6-bed family cottage. Rest camp is small and old, but had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed driving Mahonie Loop (beautiful trees) and taking a trip to Pafuri picnic site and Crook's Corner. Only negative was the road to Punda Maria gate - very slow through villages after leaving the N1.

This is one of the oldest camps I have been to in Kruger. The chalets are small and have less private outdoor areas than most. It is still good and clean, and conveniently close to Punda Maria Gate. Short drive to Pafuri Gate and next camp. Good enough shop and great camping site

Stayed in a bungalow that is very rustic and unfortunately poorly maintained like the shower sliding door that doesn't work and the shower head that is disfunctionel etc. It is however still good value for money and the camp as a whole is a pleasure. Stayed in the Safari Tents before and they are super. One place in the KNP where...

This was the second time we had stayed at Punda - the first being a year ago. Just as good as the first time - the most delightful welcome of all the Sanparks rest camps we have visited in The Kruger. The outlook from the safari tents is just great. Patrick took us on the early morning drive - what...

We were in one of the Safari Tents, so we had the best of all worlds, privacy, a very good quality 'tent' and access to the shop, and the restaurant. Obviously in a small camp the restaurant was slightly limited in range, but the choices were very good. The food was well cooked, fresh and well presented, by the very...

We had a great weeks stay at the campsite in early December. The campsite is a lot smaller than other camps further south, which made it all the nicer! The ablutions are well kept and clean and the restaurant and shop are great. The best part is the hide overlooking a small water hole at the campsite - we had...

This is always the first camp we stay at when we visit the Kruger. While the camp is small it has a well stocked watering hole and acceptable accommodation. The staff were really friendly and our waiter for the two evenings we went to dinner at the small restaurant was super friendly and accommodating. He remembered us from the last...

This was one of the 4 restcamps we stayed in beside Shingwedzi, Pretoriuskop and Skukuza. We had a BG2 Bungalow for 2 persons. Lock your doors. if you camp there use padlocks on every box. If not the monkeys will open then and make a giant mess. The shop and restaurant are small but decent. Prices are reasonable. The good:...
