Rhino Post Safari Lodge is situated at the southern end of our 12,000 hectare private wilderness concession in the Kruger National Park. The concession shares a 15km unfenced boundary with the famous Mala More Mala and Sabi Sand reserve with an abundance of wildlife moving freely between the two reserves. The concession is noted as an excellent game viewing area with encounters with the Big Five and where good sightings of wild animals can be expected. Rhino Post Safari Lodge is set under magnificent Tamboti trees on the banks of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed. The nature of a wilderness area is that there are no permanent structures, so Rhino Post Safari Lodge is built with natural materials – stone, wood, thatch and canvas - to give it an authentic bush feel. Each of the 8 suites are beautifully decorated with the bedroom and lounge area having wonderful views of the riverbed. Less

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our trip. We had been at the Plains Walking Safari Camp for 3 nights prior to this. Rhino is a completely different experience because the watering hole is much closer and one can see the animals very easily. We had monkeys r

We are spending three nights in this lodge, now for the second time.
An unforgettable experience again.
Major part of this experience is connected to our ranger Bonga.
He is ready to go the extra mile each time.
Any time again.

Our amazing ranger Bonga made our safari trip 1st Class. We saw a pack of 24 wild dogs fighting cheaters and leopard with a kill, and much much more. He was very informative. The lodge was a rustic lodge, with canvas sides and no air con. Loved hearing all the animals at night !!

Well what a come down after Kapama Buffalo Lodge. The Rhino Post Safari Lodge is well below the quality of a luxury lodge but the price is similar to Kapama.
Be careful with drinks as we had an all inclusive package but was told by the staff on arrival we would have to pay for al

We spent two nights in the lodge and two at the Plains Camp. At the lodge, our guide Bonga was really knowledgeable and brilliant at spotting interesting animals. He picked up that our party was interested in all aspects of the 'circle of life' in the bush and tried to feed our

Quality of guiding, game drives: we have been on safaris all over Africa and have gotten a bit spoilt with the quality of guiding. We are now taking my brother to SA and am worried that the jeeps will just chase the BIG 5 and not enjoy all the wonders of nature. Can someone who has stayed, advice on the quality of the guides? do they put 10 people on the jeep? thanks so much
I agree completly with Toby. Everything is individual, an well organized. Peter

Are hair dryers provided at Plains Camp? If not, if I bring my own, will there be an outlet in the suite that I can use? Would the lodge provide a converter or would I need to provide one myself? (My husband and I will be staying at the Lodge as part of a Country Walkers group in October.) Thanks for your help.

Sorry for slow reply. No we only stayed at Rhino Post Safari Lodge for our visit. Stayed for 3 nights. My wife is also fairly certain that hairdryers were provided. It's quite luxurious so I can't imagine that they wouldn't have any.

Do the interior bathtubs have a handheld nozzle available? We want to visit in the winter and wondering if I'll be able to wash my hair inside at the tub vs showering outside.
Good Day Beth Thank you for your message. We unfortunately do not have handheld nozzles in the bathtubs but we would be happy to supply a jug to allow you to rinse your hair with fresh water. However, the weather in winter months is quite pleasant during the day and you will be able to enjoy a very pleasant shower outdoors. The evenings do get a little chilly so you may prefer to have a warm bath at this time. We would love to have you visit us and we are sure you will enjoy our African winter. Kind Regards Andiswa
