Our family group (with members ranging in age from 6 to 70+) arrived here mid-afternoon, and went on our first 3-hour game drive about half an hour later, after being provided iced coffee and snacks. The game drive was great, with a very knowledgeable ranger as guide, who also served as tracker (they don't use separate trackers here), and a...

We stayed for two nights and were accommodated in the smaller lodge which is about 20 minutes drive from the main lodge. There were four individual villas overlooking a watering hole where there were lots and lots of hippos. Each villa has one room with a screened off toilet area, bed, sitting area and inside bath. There is an outside...

The Shishangeni Lodge is a hidden treasure not to be missed for anyone seeking a total game drive experience coupled with traditional yet modern amenity. The staff members are hospitable, helpful and professional. There are 3 meals provided everyday, 1 tea/coffee session before afternoon game drive and an outdoor tea/ coffee break in between each game drive in the wilderness....

This was the very first time we had stayed at a Lodge within a national park and our first impressions were "wow". Rooms were very large and were accessed by an elevated wooden walkway from the main reception building. Depending on your room number, the walk could take 3-4 minutes but if you are lucky (as we were), you could...

The rooms in the lodge were excellent and the staff extremely accommodating and assisted us with a difficult menu requirement for one young guest. The game drives were as good as any that we have been on and we saw all. In general well run lodge however I think that management needs some further training for a lodge of this...

Shishangeni private lodge has provided us with a customized experience. Game drives before sunrise and at dawn provide you with the best opportunity to see the big five and more. The lodge is located close to the Kruger southern border crocodile river, which is another guarantee animals flock together, especially during dry season. Added advantage is that it is close...

My first impression was not necessarily good, but I must admit that Shishangeni offers an awesome experience of Kruger National Park at a very competitive price. Definitely worth visiting!! Consider the 2 camps they offer - it's kind off more exclusive and remote with great views and atmosphere.

We had such a great time, the staff is friendly and helpful and the lodge is beautiful...the game drive experience was awesome, we got up close and personal with nature, led by an insightful driver. I would totally recommend this lodge for a relaxing getaway in the splendour of nature.
