Having never been on safari we didn't know what to expect, but Camp Jabulani delivered beyond our expectations. The staff is fantastic, the rooms are beautiful, and the close interactions you can have with elephants and cheetah are amazing. Would especially like to mention our guide Chane, who was a pleasure to spend time with, and Shaddrick who was a...

As this was our 5th trip to Africa in 6 years, we decided to return to Camp Jabulani for a second time and again, we were not disappointed. Lodge: Excellent! Having stayed at Camp Jabulani in 2014, we knew what to expect and again, we had a wonderful experience. From Wilma our host, to André our guide to Alex our...

There is no other lodge that could deliver a better experience than Camp Jabulani. And believe me: I know what I am talking about since it is not my first time on a safari lodge. And the more you learn about the history behind the lodge, the more you love everything about it. This family-owned lodge was built around Jabulani,...

We were well looked after from day 1 till we the day we leave. Friendly staff with personal touch especially the chef came out to greet us and his recommendation on daily specials. The meals were superb . We couldn't be happier to have Ruan as our Ranger . He is very knowledgeable and willing to take us out anytime....

On arrival, we were greeted by Ruan at the airport, who really set the tone of what we were to expect for the rest of our trip! Ruan was so professional, yet really friendly and welcoming and made us feel relaxed from arrival! Ruan was accommodating to our preferences and went out of his way to make sure we had...

From the moment we arrived at the airport, Ruan, our guide took the utmost of care of, well simply, everything. He inquired about our comfort in our lodge - spacious, beautifully designed with an open lay out, large fireplace and plunge pool (we used both during our April visit!), the timing for game drives - which is such a luxury...

The elephant experience left me speechless. A safari from the view of an elephant is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The lodging, the food, the staff - all incredible. I didn't feel well and the chef made special meals that I could eat during my stay. We loved the night safari, and our ranger. We would return, and would love to spend...

From the airport pick-up our vacation at Camp Jabulani was superb. The staff are all friendly and cannot do enough for you. Every meal was 5 star, introduced by the head chef, with delicious wines to match. The accommodation was amazing - so spacious and tasteful - and you could not see any of the other lodges. The highlight was...

What can I say about Camp Jabulani? The good: The lodge is very small (only 6 suites) so it is very intimate and private. The main lodge is beautifully adorned, although the dining options are very limited and were mostly done indoors in the "restaurant". The food, however, made up for the lack of scenery and was delicious at every...

We visited Camp Jabulani over 4 nights in March/April 2016. It was amazing in every aspect, we couldn’t have asked for more and if we had, they’d have almost certainly provide it for us! Accommodation – we stayed in the Zindoga Villa, and it was everything we had seen from the photo’s and more. We all commented that we didn’t...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camp Jabulani, a family-owned private safari lodge, is guaranteed to offer first class accommodation, cuisine, facilities and personalised service. But its most notable feature is the herd of trained African elephants, which were rescued by the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre. Over and above its once-in-a-lifetime elephant-back safaris, guests are also able to join experienced rangers in safari vehicles as they head out in search of The Big 5, and the smaller creatures that are part of an African Safari; visits to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre or simple relaxation around the camp or in the "Bush Spa". The exclusive Zindoga Villa is ideally suited to family travellers, or the client who prefers a more private, luxury experience. ... more   less

“The bathroom is in the room with fabulous inside out shower, however, it is not private. Although travelers need to be aware of this, it is NOT a deal breaker at all. The private plunge pools are fabulous.”
