This place was awesome! Two friends and I stayed here for a few days during a road trip along the Garden Route. We had a blast. I'd recommend abseiling, canoeing (and then hiking some) to a nearby waterfall, and eating at any of the cute little restaurants in Wilderness. Although the food at Fairy Knowe is delicious! I'd love to...

We arrived late at Fairy Knowe backpackers but we still received a warm welcome. The staff made you feel very at is and was very helpful. The staff prepared another room for us to sleep in the Saturday night, seeing that the one we slept in was already booked for the Saturday night and we spoke to a gentleman at...

Such a cool backpackers to stay! They have a nice bar/hanging out area and rooms are super clean. Staff was very friendly and made sure everyone enjoyed their time here. The showers are not so big but it is above average for a backpackers.

This place is absolutely amazing. It's the perfect retreat from the city.Whether you want your privacy or you want to socialize, it's perfect. There are an array of activities to do. Canooing, hiking and climbing to name a few. (kayaks available to rent on site). You can also kayak to a waterfall about an hour away. It's just a stone's...

I stayed at the Fairy Knowe Backpackers in October for my friends bachelors weekend. Deedee (not sure of spelling) was the most amazing host. We all stayed up at the main house. The room was large and clean and the house has an old school charm but don't go expecting 5-stars. The communal kitchen has all the basics you need....

Although a little of the beaten path in wilderness, the backpackers at fairy knowe is a great little spot, with with friendly staff, great facilities and a super cheap bar (that stays open till 2am). There is plenty on offer at the adventure Centre, and the vibe of the place is very welcoming, relaxing and chill. I had a great...

The backpackers is in a nice setting and the main house is beautiful. Perfect to enjoy a South African sunrise. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast very good. Unfortunately the owner is to say the least incredibly moody and scarely rants at guests which spoiled the entire experience.

I was so excited to experience the Wilderness, and was amazed by the beauty of the area. I was also amazed by the level of drunkenness of the manager who checked me in to Fairy Knowe Backpackers - he had seemingly lost the ability to read my name! After checking myself in, I settled into what seemed like a comfortable...

This off the beaten track venue in glorious wooded surrounds is a gem. Didi, the resident bar person will treat you like a long lost friend and there are usually lots of locals and interesting folks from all over the world to mix with. Good place for kids to let off steam as well. If you are a bird lover there...

Both times I have stayed here have been camping, first time was under a very large yellow wood tree. I really enjoyed this camp experience, the surroundings was beautiful and there's a lot of bird life around the camp. Also close to the start of the trail to the water falls. The owner is a bit strange, but very friendly...
