It could be the perfect place to stay at- great location, ok facilities, in woods with great life music in the bar. The staff just doesn't care about you at all, which made the experience unworth. No one should be treated that respectless. If you're fine with that, you can stay there.

great facilities, great atmosphere. Kayaking, bar, live music on some nights, very tasty breakfast, good value for money. Would definitely recommend any young(ish) couple stay here whilst on the garden route.

Nice vibey place, great bar area and friendly staff! Lovely natural surroundings close to the river great canoeing. The main house could do with an upgrade though - the floorboards are very old and non existent in some places, the staircase is loose, the toilet leaks and there was mould in one of the showers, old carpets need to be...

We had a short but pleasant stay in Fairy Knowe. The location is quiet and pretty and activities are available onsite, as is a bar and meals. The kitchen and bathrooms need a complete makeover in the old farmhouse. Bring mosquito repellant.

Awesome place to set up camp and chill. It's really close to hiking trails and close to town. It's the only place in Wilderness I stay! There's wifi and a pool table and huge camp grounds and very reasonably priced too!

Stopped over here while travelling the Garden Route with friends. Good quality of service with lots of activities on offer. Rooms a tad on the small side for 6 people sharing but good value for money. Would stay again!

This was my first time staying at a backpackers, and I really enjoyed it. Fairy Knowe is a great place to stay, especially for a group. Staff are helpful and friendly, and there are a lot of activities they can organise for you (kyaking, horseback riding, paragliding) during your stay. Beautiful area for hiking as well.

The only good thing about this place was the warm welcome from a host as we checked in : he was very knowledgeable on the area and things to do. We booked here as it was the only place left on our booking website in the entire Knysna / Wilderness area early January 2017. The problems: Our room was in...

I wish you would have told Housekeeping about the "Smell" upon checking in. We were unaware of this. Our bar staff does not hande quest complaints or issues... and are never intoxicated as you stated above...we have a reception desk for guest issues and complaints. Perhaps you felt embarrased. I remember that your bed was fixed immediately as the only...

We spent three nights at this wonderful place. Our kajak paddle and following hike to the waterfall was incredible - you see it all from a different perspective. Home cooked dinners were enjoyed outdoors with candlelight and many interesting discussions were had. The garden provided a great opportunity for family badminton games ! Come and explore for yourselves !

The next day had breakfast under the trees before starting of on the King Fisher Trail to the waterfall. A must walk if you are in the area. Saw...
