It is the first time when checking into a hotel that l have not received a warm welcome at reception. It was cold and robotic. No porters to assist with luggage. Impersonal and disappointing. We were shown to the lifts by hand signals from the cold effortless manager who made no effort to take us and show us. It instantly...

Stayed at the Protea Hotel by Marriott® uMhlanga on the 25/03/2017 and the state of the bathroom was appalling!!! We reported it to the manager Muhammed Abdul Kadir and we are still to hear anything from him or any hotel representative. Filthy bathrooms, stay at your own risk!!!

Great location and have been using this hotel for over 15 years and even though the hotel has been revamped & the new wing looks great, the management of the hotel have forgotten about the basic details. Don't thing you will have a great shower after a long days work as with the type of water pressure that one experiences...

My most recent visit to his hotel happily landed me a room in the brand new Tower Block, which was only completed towards the end of last year. The view was surely worth it, looking seaward on the 9th. floor. At night I could still clearly hear the sounds of Chartwell Drive nightlife below, but this is to expected round...

We booked online for a room with a small kitchenette and a double bed. When we got to our room it had two single beds, back to reception and they reallocated our room, we had been given a smaller room 601 with a king size bed but NO kitchenette. That in fact was a downgrade. (Without a kitchenette, they should...

I stayed here one night for business. Everyone was very friendly but the room was just OK. The bed was not comfortable. The couch was in usable. I sat down and it completely sunk to the bottom. The air conditioning was OK. There is parking, a bar and restaurant. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. I had breakfast which was...

After a disastrous stay in a protea hotel the night before it was nice to arrive in this hotel which has recently been refurbished.
