My apartment had the most stunning balcony leading out over the pool and the ocean. I was thrilled with the natural light from the floor to ceiling windows and how modern the amenities are. Security and staff on site were friendly and it was so convenient being attached to the mall with a Food Lovers and amazing little coffee shop...

We came to Maritzburg for a family wedding then decided on chilling for a few days in uMhlanga. Got a 3 Bedroom apartment for less than a 2 bedroom apartment at The Cabana Beach Resort in uMhlanga, Durban. The Pearls is so much better and cheaper than other Hotels and Resorts for its price in Durban. It's huge we actually...

This was our third stay at the Pearls of Umhlanga, and second at Apartment D2-7. Firstly thank you to Gerrit who met us late into the night to give us the keys as we were running quite late. The apartment is still very well maintained and exceptionally clean and tidy at all times thanks to Zodwa whom was very pleasant....

The self catering apartment at the Pearl is exceptional. The 2 bedroom apartment was great. Latest furniture & fittings. The view of the beach & surroundings was absolutely spectacular. Currently undergoing construction, so you need to bear the noise. Not bad though. Weekends is very noisy as there is parties all around, loud music. For a family with kids, this...

This apartment was modern and well furnished and equipped for a family. Pearls is conveniently located within walking distance of good restaurants and, cafes and other holiday resorts, and has easy access to the beach. The views from the balcony will be stunning once the construction is complete. For those wishing to sleep in late remember that one of the...

I stayed at the The Pearls for a conference in Durban. Transportation to and from the International Conference Center took about 20-25 minutes by taxi or car. Uber is quite easy to use in Umhlanga and only half the cost of taxi. The condo was quite spacious with a huge deck overlooking the sea. There are shops, restaurants, and a...

We regrettably booked two suites from Solina at Pearls of Umhlanga for the Durban July weekend. I have reason to believe that we were proscribed the very moment we arrived. It started when we didn’t produce the first card we used for securing the apartments in January because it had expired, replaced and the owner had destroyed it (who keeps...

The apartment is very good and equipped with high quality appliances and a high quality finish, but unfortunately we were not properly informed prior to our arrival that we were going to be in the middle of a massive building site (and apparently this is going to continue until December 2017). Although the website mentioned the possible noise, nowhere did...
