Enjoyed my stay. The staff was very accommodating in helping you to book tours and tips for traveling. Common areas are very nice, spacious, and topped off with a bar on the roof. Had a great stay, close to beach and city tours.

Our first night at this hostel was fun, we had a few beers on the rooftop, a chat, then bed. All good. The second night, however, we had no chance to sleep until the extremely loud music from the birthday party that was hosted there was off...which was after 1am. I did ask twice for the music to be turned...

Hi Souku, I can only apologise for your experience at our lodge, I'm not sure what more you would like out of a city hostel on a Saturday night. There are never private parties on our roof, everyone is welcome. Claims of bed bugs or fleas are unfounded as no proof was given. You received a refund even after you...

We stayed for 2 nights here in a double basic room with shared bathroom. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Room was clean and warm. Downsides - Wifi wasn't great and it was quite loud on the street outside throughout the night. The layout of the hostel was a bit odd - all the rooms were around the edge of a...

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to review our lodge and we are pleased that you liked the Happy Hippo. The layout was dictated by the shape of the building and laws regarding airflow, unfortunately it is what it is, Once again thank you for the great review and hope to see you soon. I stayed 4 nights in Zulu, which is a dorm room which is quite close to the kitchen. It had an ensuite bathroom which was nice and the room itself was well maintained and very clean. I did not receive a key of the room, so the room was never locked. I believe that non-dorms have the ability to be...

I stayed in both a 4 bed dorm and an ensuite double room and both were of a very good standard with comfortable beds and very clean. There are large communal bathrooms, a big kitchen area and plenty of seating in the 3 communal areas. I liked the funky decor and it was really brilliant having coffee available all day....
