One of the most amazing B&Bs I've ever stayed at. The owners are absolutely amazing with personal attention to detail, helping you all the way from booking to check out. They were attentive and friendly. The rooms were excellent and surrounding gardens great for relaxing and having a drink. Self-service toasted sandwiches 24-7 were a nice touch along with the... I stayed at Oasis from Jan until Mar as a business traveler and it was like my second home. The owners (Graham and Anita) welcomed me on my first day and tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. My room was nice furnished and very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and I enjoyed every day. Therefore... More

Johannesburg can be an intimidating city. The high fences, the razor wire, the security checkpoints. All of that can easily be forgotten at Oasis, with its gardens, pool, luxurious rooms and outdoor entertainment area. The meals are excellent - and we were pleasantly surprised when the young waiter thanked us for the compliments about the food, to find that someone... More

Thank you for your comments. We put up all the Tripadvisor comments on the staff notice board and they are always delighted when their efforts are praised. I am also pleased that you mentioned Liliesleaf. As an outing, it close enough to walk and the modern take on a "museum" is quite refreshing! Kind regards, Anita More

Stayed for a very brief two day visit on business in room 7. Staff could not have been more helpful with Graham ensuring that you understood everything in the well equipped room. The standard is very high with lots of little touches that show thought has been put into this lovely guest house.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review - hopefully you have had a breather from your extensive travels and that you have enjoyed a bit of down-time. Although quite detailed, the "rooming" of the guests helps them to experience the full extent of what The Oasis offers. Looking forward to your return, kind regards, Anita More

Home from home Anita and Graham will see to it you are looked after in their luxurious home which caters to your every need. The breakfast offers whatever you can imagine and their dinners are simply deliciously cooked home meals which I prefer to resturant food. The rooms are excusiately decorated as is the rest of the house. Beautifully gardens... More

Highlights were the luxury of the rooms, the huge amount of thought that went into the small guest amentities (a pillow and dvd library, complimentary toasted sandwiches, and a long list of other things), the humour of the hosts, the service (e.g. willingness to spend time organising outtings, being spot on with recommendations for food and outtings), the companionship of... When spending a week in Jo'burg on business recently, I was overwhelmed by the variety of accommodation. Fortunately my wife made the choice for me, and simply picked the best of the lot, Oasis. Anita and Grayham are warm, welcoming hosts, and despite the size the size of the guest house you feel that you are staying in their home.... More

I stayed in the guesthouse for two weeks. It was a pleassure. I stayed in two very different rooms - one bigger and more luxourius than the other. I used the guesthouse while studying for an exam -the pool chairs and the lapa (in this case an outdoor open livingroom) were perfect for this. Johannesburg is different city compared to... More

The only issue I had at the Oasis was to find anything wrong. This is about the closest thing to perfect you will ever find anywhere in the world. My credentials: I travel the world, on average one trip every 10 days and I am very particular as to where I stay. I chose a guesthouse over a hotel as... More
