When ever I'm travelling to Pretoria, I stay at Twana Lodge. Arne and Chris are always willing to give a helping hand to any request. Not only do they offer accommodation, but also organize amazing overland tours. All in all, a perfect place if you are travelling on a budget.

Having had lived close to Twana Lodge [ by far the nicest part of the greater Pretoria metropolis] before moving to the Caribbean, we often visited " Oblivion" [ the bar @ Twana] where we not only had fabulous parties but also met great people, from all over the world, who were on mostly on overland adventures. When returning to...

Twana Lodge is not only a great place to stay, Arne and Chris also organize awesome tours. This Christmas we went on a self drive camping tour through Botswana and Zimbabwe. We travelled with three cars which were fully equipped with all necessary camping gear. The itinerary took us to Moremi, Elephant Sands and the Hunters Road in Botswana and...

For many years me and my family have been visiting Twana Lodge. We always feel very welcome and very much at home. Arne and Chris are wonderful people, always willing to help. Parties at the bar are legendary. The accommodation is basic but always very clean. Food is available on request and boy they can cook! Meals are always very...

We had booked this place as it was the start of our Geckos overland trip. The car transfer fee is way over the top it cost the 2 of us $160 Australian for a half hour trip from J'burg airport. Another couple on the trip said they booked their own for only $80 all up. On arrival at 7pm we compled...

It was fine. The rooms were very bare and very cold, the cabins are far away from the facilities which makes a cold walk at night to the bathrooms. The communal kitchen and lounge area were great. Many cute dogs to play with. All in all, basic and fine for those roughing it.

I arrived 2 days before the start of my tour and was amazed at how much Twana felt like home. The food was great, the rooms while no 5 star were clean and well presented, I was after all starting a camping experience with Geckos tours. Would go back again. Chris made me feel so welcomed and safe in the...

We liked Twana Lodge -it has a nice laid back atmosphere. The hosts were helpful and friendly. But I felt totally ripped off paying AUS75 for an airport transfer when I shared the taxi with 3 other people. If I had been on my own -ok-but for the four of us to pay AUS300 for that transfer was outrageous especially...
