Again we had a lovely stay, the front of house staff, porters, housekeeping are all excellent. The young staff in the bar need a little kick, more attention to guests less talking to each other please. Staff in the restaurant in the evening are excellent, as are most of the breakfast staff, with the odd exception but I know that...

Dear Joanne Thank you so much for taking time at the hotel to share the area if improvement. I am in the process of adding technology to assist the bottlenecks which have given opportunity to congregate and chat. Should all be in place by first week of December. We have done a lot of training with the evening service staff...

Our room 312 was located at the right wing of this very big hotel where building activities have been over all floors. Noboday has informed us about this. The room is absolutly standard - nothing special! Breakfast was execellent but you must know that there isn`t any privacy and you are sitting together with 100 guests more. The reception staff...

Thank you very much for your comments, especially about our team. I am really sorry that you were not made aware of our upgrade work. We have endeavoured in all our direct correspondence to guests to communicate on the progress and expected completion times for work. We have also kept our travel partners and suppliers, and the booking site used for...

I had to attend a two day workshop held at the Vineyard recently. Since my wife accompanied me, we decided to stay the weekend as well. It was not my first time here, so I had high expectations. And I was not disappointed! It is a great hotel, and not your typical tourist package deal place - cozy setting in...

Perfect location for the Constantia wine region, day trip to Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach, Table Mountain, etc. The hotel is lovely and the grounds are spectacular. Enjoy breakfast on the patio with stunning mountain views.

Dear Gayl You discovered one of our secrets, that of being well located for all the activities one wishes to engage in to get to know Cape Town and the Cape. Breakfast on the Patio with the gardens in the foreground and the mountain framing them is one of the true pleasures of the Vineyard. We look forward to sharing...

Very pleasant hotel at the far side of Table Mountain; much lusher surroundings on this side of the mountain. Popular and suitable for families and indeed for all looking for a holiday destination in peaceful surroundings. Cavendish Centre for shopping and Newlands for cricket and rugby not far away! Rooms are comfortable and many are now being renovated to the...

Thank you so much for taking the time to post comments on the Vineyard. We have a number of our rooms back in service after their upgrades and look forward to adding the last 9 shortly. We have spent much time, effort and money on the Wifi so we are really pleased that it is delivering a much better guest...

The hotel was an unexpected find. We arrived earlier than check in time, however they accommodated us with a warm welcome and made the changes to the room we requested without any problems. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the gardens in immaculate condition. The bedroom has been beautifully furnished, with signs of the history behind the building, with modern...

We spent four nights at the beginning of our stay in SA. Excellent and friendly service; the staff in general could not have been more helpful. Room was perfect, on the third floor, so very quiet, and wonderful views. Food, both in the Square, and on the terrace was excellent.

The Vineyard had always been my favourite Cape Town hotel, but after our visit there in September 2015, I doubt that I'll be back. The food was fine and we had no complaints about the service, but the room was awful. It was poorly designed, especially the bathroom, the furnishings were unattractive and the position was terrible and very noisy...

I attended a conference here, and was given a brand new room that was clearly not ready for occupation. There were workers hammering away in the hallway, and outside the patio doors. Thank you for your review and honest comments.
