This was a very nice hotel with many amenities. The food was quite good and the room was comfortable. It's in a very pretty and relaxing setting amidst the trees and lush greenery. The staff was quite nice and I really enjoyed my all-too-brief say there.

We appreciate your wonderful comments on our home in Cape Town. A short visit does definitely not expose one to all the pleasures of the property, a walk along the river, having breakfast on the patio or lying next to the pool with Table Mountain as your view. We hope to see you back soon. Warm regards Roy Davies

First stayed in this hotel when I was a child and it was here that I learnt to swim in a clover leaf pool!! 50 years later it has changed a bit, but I was pleased to see the old house still there - though completely transformed!! My stay this time round, after a three week trip on the Garden...

Thank you so much for such wonderful comments and so pleased we were able to live up to your wonderful memories. I know much has changed, the pool, the hotel entrance, the restaurants and even the façade which was restored in the 1980 by Francois Petousis. A couple of things that haven't changed are the hospitality and of course that...

This was my 2nd stay here and the standards are very high. The rooms are spacious and well fitted . Staff polite and helpful. The breakfast on the terrace in the shadow of table mountain is wonderful. My only problem was that I was given room 101 which was a garden room. The cleaners must have opened the windows when...

Thank you so much for your kind review. With the long serving staff we have many of our return guests are recognised, indeed I believe that is why we have so many return guests who feel absolutely at home. Stayed for the first three days of a 28 day Western Cape holiday. Large comfortable room with patio. SA v England cricket at (very) nearby Newlands and hotel was very busy. Thank you so much for sharing your experience at the Vineyard. The English games did keep us busy, but we are pleased that did not detract from your stay. We trust that you enjoyed the rest of your Cape Holiday. Warm regards Roy Davies

My 80 year old mother was determined to travel to Cape Town for her grandson's 21st birthday. She is immobile and frail. After a harrowing trip involving a series of disasters I phoned the Vineyard to ask if there was any possibility of an early check-in at 12 pm for a tired granny. The reception gave me the "company poilicy...can't...

This hotel is just plain gracious in all respects. Staff is superbly helpful and friendly. Meals were all delightful and Mayorga restaurant a marvelous find. The grounds are inviting for a walk or just lounging around. Our room opened to a green garden area. The bar and patio offered a pleasant place to have a quiet drink.

Our second visit to the Vineyard Hotel. This is a wonderful hotel with so much history in it's past. We booked a Junior Suite and based on the photo on the Internet it looked fantastic.
